With four years of teaching experience, I am now offering my expertise 1:1 during the summer. I am bilingual, having worked this year totally through Spanish in a secondary school in Tenerife as an English teacher, and have also taught university level students in a public-funded Spanish university course, in two public primary schools and with SEN children. In my SEN role, I was able to do 1:1 work with a child who had diffifculties accessing curriciulum due to a moderate learning disability, poor working memory and generalisability skills and social and emotional difficulties. I also had the chance to lead a social/emotional learning and study skills class for a diverse group of children which included teenagers with ADHD, ASD, anxiety and learning disabilities. I have taught history and English as a second language, and can also teach Spanish as it has been my working language for the past three years, living in Spain has allowed me to progess my fluency to almost native level, and studying Spanish to degree level has also allowed me to study various forms of Latin American and Iberian literature, as well as culture studies, cinema studies and policics through Spanish. |
