I am a fully qualified teacher of mathematics with many years' experience in both teaching and private tutoring. My tutoring style is enthusiastic and responsive, placing emphasis on students feeling safe to practice their mathematics in a supportive environment. Students are encouraged to engage in problem solving with the concepts they have learned to actively develop their understanding. I believe the key to a good learning environment is to build the confidence of the student by reinforcing their understanding and boosting their self esteem. My tutoring is tailored to the individual student which ensures that each session is as useful as possible and is always a positive learning experience. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy running and improvised theatre. In the last few years I have run the Brighton Marathon and performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. |
