I have taught instrumental music to a wide range of ages including adults. I teach most instruments, including theory of music, and believe that music should be enjoyed in which case I teach towards ABRSM and British College of Accordionists examinations in addition to supplementing this with playing for pleasure and enjoyment music. My experience is that individuals should be taught according to their individual learning style and therefore I adapt my teaching style to match the age, stage, interest and needs of the students which means that if the student wants to learn for pure enjoyment then examinations may not be considered. My students have enjoyed many successes at national level and some have gone on to study music at University. |
