A well-motivated, versatile, and quick learning individual after graduation took on a challenge to live in India over the last 10 years. The opportunity allowed her to contribute her background and exposure of the UK education towards India's education system to create a new foundation for the current and new generations. There was also a great opportunity to teach students there, how to speak English as they were only fluent in Gujarati and Hindi. While working at the Gujarati school in London the role consists of: Teaching and creating classwork from the foundations of the language to the complexities, ensuring pupils are able to speak, read, and write. Also worked with training teaching assistants to become classroom teachers or work with focus pupils. Currently has been working with various age group of students online teaching them how to read, write and speak Gujarati through a fun and interactive approach.

I offer individual tutoring online and in my home to those who are sitting GCSE and A Levels in English Literature and Language. I am also very keen to help slightly younger pupils who need help with general English skills like: reading, comprehension, grammar and punctuation, and general writing skills. I come from a trilingual family and have spoken Spanish, Portuguese and English since childhood. I studied languages as part of my undergraduate degree at the University of Leeds, obtaining a first class BA in History with Spanish and Portuguese.
After a decade working in law, I returned to my language roots and qualified as a languages teacher in 2018. I taught Spanish for three years to London secondary school students, focusing on GCSE and A Level exam preparation. I also worked additionally as a Portuguese GCSE speaking examiner during exam season, something which I continue to do today. In 2021, I finally decided to focus full-time on my private tutoring career as a Spanish and Portuguese language tutor.

My hour-long lessons are designed to be an open and encouraging space in which students can practise and improve their language skills. After graduating with an honours degree in Mathematics, Zahra entered the hedge fund world where she studied for CIMA and CFA qualifications. During that time she also taught on a voluntary basis, before deciding to pursue teaching full time. She is a supportive and friendly teacher, who has taught GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics for over 10 years.
As well as teaching maths, Zahra is also responsible for the delivery of the Medical Programme designed for students applying for medicine, dentistry or veterinary science and specialises in training students for the UKCAT and BMAT exams.

My priority is tailoring each of my lessons according to individual students, which is a key aspect of one-to-one tutoring. I also use questions and homework to check understanding continually. I usually focus on exam-style or past paper questions in order to check, practice and perfect the student`s understanding and technique.
I always take a student-centered approach to teaching by asking students to bring their notes and talk me through the topics they feel are most difficult. My aim as your tutor would be to identify your strengths and weaknesses and build upon these appropriately. I would incorporate past paper questions very early in the curriculum to assess how well a child can apply their knowledge to answering exam questions. This will ensure that by the time the exams are sat the student will be fully prepared.
I prepare materials which allow them to reinforce their understanding to learn a difficult subject. I gradually strengthen their knowledge and bring them to a higher level.
