Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.

I recently completed a masters degree in civil engineering at the University of Bristol, and have since worked as a structural engineer for 15 months. At A-Level, I achieved an A* in mathematics, an A* in physics, and an A in chemistry. At GCSE level, I achieved 9A*s and 1A, including an A* in maths. I am looking to help students work through topics they are struggling with, and achieve their potential in the subject. I want to use the knowledge and experience I have gained during my time at school, university, and in my work as an engineer, to help provide productive and fulfilling lessons to students.

My name is José María de Lucas Sacristán, though most know me as Chema Sacristán. I've been a professional drummer since 2004. I'd like to share a brief biography of my career in the U.K. In 2002, at 19, I realized my love for music and moved to Bristol, U.K., where I lived for four years. Bristol exposed me to all sorts of music, including rock, jazz, world music, and more. I played my first shows and worked with over five different local bands, gaining valuable experience. In 2006, I moved to London to study at Tech Music Schools, known as "Drum Tech," where I completed my higher education and earned a BMUS in Popular Music Performance (Hons), licensed by West London University. After completing my degree in 2011, I worked exclusively as a performing drummer and drum teacher, giving private lessons in my own studio, Oktopus Music Services, in North West London. In the past nine years, I've had the privilege of performing, recording, and writing with some of the best musicians in the London and U.K. scene, such as Kevin Glasgow (one of Europe's best bassists), Robin Banerjee (Amy Winehouse's guitarist), Roberto Manzin (Zucchero), Felipe Martíns (Emeterians), Juan Whist (The Voice National Spanish TV), and many others. I've showcased in most of London's live music venues and with the best U.K. and European entertainment agencies, such as Scarlett Entertainment, Full Stop Entertainment, and more. Learning a language is the process of understanding which involves all the fours apprehension skills of listening, writing, speaking, reading which makes the entire process a very effective means to train your brain, but most of all is an entire unique psychological and emotional experience. I am fairly traditional in my approach. My previous pupils - I am recently retired - would describe me as thorough, encouraging and able to develop a strong self belief to succeed in a tricky subject.
Teaching Chemistry for 41 years has given me significant insight into the common conceptual pitfalls that hinder learning. So, first and foremost, I aim to develop a sound conceptual understanding and thereby foster tutees' confidence. Grasping Chemistry is like tackling a jig-saw puzzle: The pattern emerges when the links between the individual parts are apparent; I pride myself in enabling tutees to make these connections. Once the subject foundations are secure we move on to questions, examination technique and past papers.
Hello! I’m Josh, a Head of Mathematics at a successful Secondary school in Bromley and an experienced online tutor specialising in GCSE and A-level Mathematics, including Further Maths. I’ve been doing this for 8 years, and I’ve found joy in simplifying tricky math concepts.
Why online tutoring? I believe it offers flexibility and convenience. You can learn from the comfort of your space and at your pace. However, I do require students to have a graphics tablet to make our virtual lessons interactive and effective.

I am a native Italian teacher with more than 15 years of experience teaching Italian in schools and privately.
I've always loved my language and really enjoy passing this love on to someone else by teaching.
About the lessons
My lessons last 2 hours, normally starting with a conversation (with absolute beginners this time is spent in role playing, games and repetitions), followed by homework correction, grammar studies and listening to pre-recorded Italian conversations.
The lessons are very enjoyable and time goes quickly!
Teaching experience
I am a CLTA (Certificate in Teaching Italian to Adults gained at The International House in Rome) qualified tutor of Italian, with over 15 years` experience teaching Italian to adults of all backgrounds, whether learning individually or as a group. I have therefore developed a good understanding of the problems encountered by students who may be learning a language for the first time, as well as those who may be returning to learning after a long gap, and are therefore not only unused to learning, but may need to somehow fit their studies into the limits imposed by a full time working and family life.
I have also a very good record of achievement for students undertaking GCSE, A Level examinations, MLAT test and University interviews.
Approach to teaching
I use the International House method in written and spoken Italian which involves the use of authentic texts, visual, audio and internet resources, also introducing culture, politics and anything else that is of the student’s interest.
This method enables the learners to speak and improve their skills as quickly as possible. Fluency and vocabulary would expand naturally as the course progresses.
