Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.

Hi! My name is Huda H. and I am from Crawley, West Sussex. I graduated from the University of Northumbria. I did a bachelors degree on Bio Medical Science. I am currently a Maths and Science Tutor. I have experience in tutoring female students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Science for three years. I started tutoring primary students during my GCSE'S. After sucessfully completing my degree, with a second class honours, I wanted to make teaching as my profession. I have been able to help students who were facing a lot of difficulties in understanding the subject by breaking it down step by step making the topic more interesting and easier for the students. I have been able to help my students get through their exams and achieve the best results. I am currently working part time as a Maths Teacher for year 11 students at Oxbridge Online School. I conduct my lessons online via zoom/google meets and I do in person tuition at my home. I provide presentation slides for my students for each subject i teach so that they can refer the slides in the future. I make sure I go step by step when teaching my students. The exam boards I am currently aware of are Cambridge, Edexcel, AQA and OCR.

Good afternoon to all,
My name is Rhian S., an A level student currently studying the subjects Maths, chemistry and biology, working towards a bright future in dentistry in Kings University Of London. I specialize in GCSE science, in which I achieved a 99, where I believe all students can achieve but must be taught the correct technique and application skills. Being one who finished there GCSEs not so long ago, I believe I have the essential tips and tricks that can help your child to excel catering to the new exam bores and requirements.
I believe I have structured lessons in a way which concisely hits exam requirements whilst also sharing exam technique tricks along the way that I have personally developed from my experience.
One thing I have learnt from mentoring students is the importance of communication whenever the student may need, even outside working hours, this is why I will have 24hour contact with my students to assist in any further questions outside tutoring hours. This may include homework help, questions by topic or feedback in general.
now the most important thing to success is routine. Each lesson will be strutted the same with 3 main protocols- learn, practice, apply. Where application will be specificity modified to fit various scenarios so your child to can put this to work independently during there exams!
My classes will be every Saturday morning from 10-11am or 10-12am including 24hour assistance

I am a Physics specialist and currently Head of Physics & Head of Year in the school I work at. I have been teaching for over 18 years now and have been proud to see many of my ex students pass their exams with flying colours. Some of the students I have taught are now working at CERN as a Particle Physicist, one has completed a PHd in Astrophysics and another is now a pilot. I aim to enthuse, engage and motivate and not just aim for good results, I aim to get students to love Physics and the world around them. I am keen on STEM related careers and will always encourage students, especially girls, to follow these routes into exciting and innovative careers. I'm a great believer in building strong relationships with my students, where we have a mutual understanding of the benefits to learning.
Due to coronavirus, I will currently be able to only deliver online tuition, I am happy to have an initial free consultation/ chat to discuss your childs needs and what they are looking to achieve, both long and short term in terms of this subject. I would also be happy to have an initial online chat to see if my style is suited to your child and vice versa. I have QTS status and have an enhanced DBS certificate. I have tutored students from both grammar and comprehensive schools. Please get in touch if you want to find out more/ availability.

I have always enjoyed interacting with children and strongly believe that interacting with younger students has taught me the importance of patience and understanding. Tutoring enables the expansion of an important skill set, such as, the ability to break explanations down into new perspectives when a pupil doesn’t at first understand. It is thrilling when that ‘lightbulb’ moment in a pupil’s eyes arises once the answer/solution clicks.
As a student, I achieved high grades and enjoyed sports although I would say my main strength has always been empathy and ability to connect with people. Interacting with both children and parents has always come naturally to me. During my time at secondary school, I was often chosen to tour prospective parents on Open Day and younger children would regularly approach me for guidance (both academic and otherwise).
Moreover, in 2023 I was diagnosed with ADHD. At school I often found it difficult to study and didn’t know why it was so hard to simply sit down and concentrate. Having undiagnosed ADHD meant that I resorted to trying different learning methods and experimenting with a multitude of revision strategies to complete my studies.
Despite having ADHD I managed to retain strong grades throughout my academic journey. The diagnosis simply enabled me to deepen my understanding of how to navigate my studies whilst having an attention deficit. The knowledge and patience I acquired on this journey I would be glad to share with tutees regardless of whether they have learning difficulties.

I was a scientist, leading my own research group before becoming a teacher. I am passionate about the subject and can bring extra knowledge on how science is woven into our daily lives and explanations about natural phenomena. I really enjoy teaching science, but also understand that it is a lot of information and so I focus on breaking it down into smaller pieces of information and ensure that you understand each part, leading to a good understanding in the subject overall.
