About Me:
I have an Honours Degree in Spanish & French from the University of Exeter, and a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics & Second Language Acquisition (aka. how people learn foreign languages) from the University of Oxford.
I have been tutoring and helping students get the top grades in languages for over 5 years now.
I love to see my students grow in confidence, excel in Spanish, and become empowered learners who thrive in education.
I have seen lots of students struggle in GCSE languages, and I strongly believe that the thing that makes the biggest difference to struggling students is having a plan.
You don't have to struggle through on your own. When students are attending lessons and doing their homework but something just isn't clicking and their grades start falling behind their other subjects, they are simply missing the tools they need to be successful in this subject.
Spanish is a skill, and has to be learned differently from other subjects. The longer they try and struggling along on their own, the more catch up they eventually need to do.
I want to help students get through their GCSE years in one piece. So I will find the most streamlined path to success for you, and equip you with the tools you need to access the top grades in Spanish.

I recently completed a masters degree in civil engineering at the University of Bristol, and have since worked as a structural engineer for 15 months. At A-Level, I achieved an A* in mathematics, an A* in physics, and an A in chemistry. At GCSE level, I achieved 9A*s and 1A, including an A* in maths. I am looking to help students work through topics they are struggling with, and achieve their potential in the subject. I want to use the knowledge and experience I have gained during my time at school, university, and in my work as an engineer, to help provide productive and fulfilling lessons to students.
Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.

Having acquired substantial experience of working with a significant range of students and abilities, I understand fully the barriers to learning in Maths. I am an award-winning and highly experienced "super" tutor and academic coach with over 15 years of tutoring, teaching and coaching experience, during which period I have made multiple students become university toppers and world prize winners. MY STORY
I am currently a grade-one “outstanding” teacher in my present school, and have been delivering KS3, GCSE and A Level English, Maths and History in the secondary and sixth-form sectors for the past 16 years, in which time my results have far surpassed national pass rates. Moreover, due to these outstanding results and innovative teaching methods, I have served as Assistant Head of Department; helping us to be awarded an internal grade 1 “outstanding” rating for the 6 years in which I held the post. Furthermore, I also have extensive experience as an “Advanced Practitioner”-tasked with turning around failing cohorts in some of the UK’s toughest classrooms, as well as my time as an examiner for a variety of GCSE/A Level exam boards.

I have a broad range of experience turning around struggling students in some of the UK’s toughest classrooms, as well as challenging high achieving learners in the pursuit of academic excellence. In my teaching and tutoring career thus far, I have taught across the curriculum age-ranges (7-18 years), as well as undergraduate and postgraduate level students, and specialise in teaching troubled learners lacking confidence, whilst pushing very bright pupils.
Since I began teaching at my institution, English pass-rates received a 25% upwards leap in the opening two years and my tutoring pass grades in my subjects of English, maths and history have been outstanding, so that the vast majority of my classes/tutees are now passing with strong academic grades, and attaining entry to prestigious preparatory schools and/or universities. Besides enjoying superb results, my pupils benefit from a relaxed yet challenging atmosphere, with high commitment being expected of them and this has shown to bring both personal and academic growth, which is always pleasing to see. In terms of my lesson delivery, I always strive to be on the cutting-edge of education in use of teaching resources and methods. Hi! My names Lisa and I am an English and Drama/Theatre Studies Tutor. My qualifications are up to a Masters Level with 14 years of experience in live Touring, West End and Regional Theatre and Events,
I have been tutoring English to British and Foreign students for over 8 years, working with all age ranges in ESL, exam preparation for 11+, 8+ and in depth text analysis. I tailor the lesson to suit the needs of the student using the AQA, OCR, WJEC and Scottish curriculum for GCSE, A levels, National 5's and Scottish Higher's as well as helping degree students with their essays, personal statement, college applications and dissertations. His Industrial experience adds practical insights to his academic expertise. His educational background includes a strong proficiency in the Russian language, gained during his studies in Ukraine. Dr A. has held various administrative roles such as Head of Department and Dean of Faculty, demonstrating his leadership and versatility in adapting to new academic trends.
