My name is Ryan B., I am 26 years old and currently live in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In 2021, I graduated with a www.*** Bachelor's honours degree in Film Studies and Production at Queen's University Belfast. The following year, I graduated with a commendation Master's Degree in Film, at the same University. Throughout my studies, I have obtained a high level of film knowledge within American cinema, British cinema, European cinema and World cinema. I became extremely fascinated and passionate with film theory and film history, involving analysing, criticising and engaging in research.
To this end, I am interested in writing film essays, reviews and articles. I thrive in decoding film narratives, symbolism, allegory, plot functions, directorial styles and techniques, as well as theoretical and practical film language. These specific skills which I have adopted over the years, have been developed and capitalised on through watching key films throughout the history of cinema, engaging in film literature, listening to film commentaries, podcasts, discussion panels, and by studying the important filmmakers and films since the onset of motion pictures, during my studies and in my own time. I frequently write reviews as a hobby, and I am always aware of new releases in cinema's and on streaming platforms as well as what is important to watch and what isn't. Therefore, I would like to pursue a career within this field and to showcase my skills and knowledge surrounding cinema.

Here's where I come in! My name is Helen and I tutor students of all ages in all things Classical Greek: ancient Greek literature and the language in which it is written. I am passionate about the ancient world, particularly ancient Greek history, culture and language.
I am the founder and co-ordinator of the Belfast Summer School in Latin and Classical Greek where I teach Greek at intermediate level, I am the convenor of the Classical Association in Northern Ireland and vice-chair of the Classical Association of Ireland. I am an Open Learning tutor at Queen's University Belfast and teach ancient Greek language from beginners to advanced level. I began teaching in 2011 and have experience teaching in both classroom settings and individual tuition. I provide GCSE and A level exam preparation, and assistance with university modules. Currently I teach adult beginners at Queen's University Belfast, intermediate/advanced Greek to a group of adults who have been with me for 4+ years, and am preparing a group of high school students for GCSE. In 2013, I tutored a student who required extra help with A level Greek and he gained A* in the A2 examination.
Subject expertise: I began learning Classical Greek during my undergraduate degree some 20 years ago and I completed beginners and advanced modules. I read a number of ancient Greek texts during my Masters degree and completed advanced Greek modules.
I am very passionate about teaching Biology and make learning enjoyable for students. I specialise in CCEA and charge an affordable fee; I genuinely care about helping students succeed and tutoring is not solely a money-making business for me. Tutoring Approach
I am committed to making Biological concepts easier for students to grasp and inspire students with lessons which are interactive and involve pictures and videos. I tailor lessons to individuals and provide the encouragement and support they need.
More importantly, I send students a lot of past exam questions at to enable them to prepare thoroughly for upcoming exams. We also go through the questions together so students get a grasp of how to answer questions to score maximum marks.
By marking the answers, I help students understand their weaknesses and help them work on them.
Besides providing useful notes and subject material, I also impart helpful learning tips recommended by professionals to students.
