Over the years she gradually moved from the full time teaching of Mathematics to ICT and since 2014 to Computer Science. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a specialization in Mathematics, I have been an integral part of the Maths Department in a Secondary school. Over the course of 15 years, I have successfully taught small groups of students, primarily focusing on GCSE level (Foundation) Mathematics. My expertise extends across all age groups, ranging from Year 7 to Year 11.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have also engaged in private tutoring for over 14 years, working closely with individual students. It brings me immense joy to witness my students achieve their academic goals under my guidance and support.
My experience as an HLTA and private tutor has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the GCSE Mathematics curriculum and various effective teaching techniques. I am committed to creating a supportive and conducive learning environment where students can grasp mathematical concepts with confidence. My tutoring approach emphasizes a student-centered methodology, tailoring the learning process to meet each student's unique learning style and needs.
Through my dedication and passion for teaching, I aim to inspire and empower my students, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their academic pursuits. As I continue to contribute to the academic growth of my students, I look forward to making a positive impact on their educational journey.
Tutoring Approach
As an experienced tutor, I adopt a personalized and supportive teaching approach, fostering a relaxed and friendly learning environment. I firmly believe that there is no single "right" way to approach a problem, and I encourage my tutees to explore multiple routes to find the most comprehensible solution. It is crucial to establish a solid foundation of understanding before advancing to more complex concepts, as a weak base can hinder further progress.
For GCSE students, I utilize an 'Example' notebook to aid in their revision process. This notebook serves as a valuable resource for them to revisit and reinforce the concepts covered during our sessions. Additionally, to familiarize them with exam-style questions and the expectations of exam boards, I incorporate relevant exercises to enhance their confidence and performance in examinations.
I am adaptable in my teaching methods, offering both online lessons via Zoom and face-to-face sessions, depending on the tutee's preferences and convenience. This flexibility ensures that students can access my tutoring services in a manner that suits them best.
By employing these strategies and maintaining a professional demeanor, I strive to provide my students with a positive and enriching learning experience that nurtures their academic growth and success.

I am friendly, approachable and enjoy making learning meaningful for pupils. My lessons begin with starting activities to recap the previous learning, identify any misconceptions. Moving onto the main part of the lesson I plan activities promoting fluency in the skill then application to a real-life situation or worded exam-style question. Games and quizzes can be fun and useful in testing rapid recall.
I have been teaching for fifteen years and have taught learners of all abilities, backgrounds and socio-economic circumstances, planning for progression and offering timely feedback. I endeavour to make learning as enjoyable as possible and do my utmost to "make learning stick". I am compassionate and go the extra mile for learners.

I have mentored and tutored for the past 4-5 years, helping students to achieve grade 9 in maths. I currently tutor Mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry for A-levels and below.
I am a fun person who particular loves his sports. Seeing the improvement and progress a child can make in a short amount of time is always the best feeling and I strive to help you achieve your goals and beyond. Sometimes having that 1 to 1 session can make all the difference in clearing up any worries about a topic.
I begin my classes by asking the student what they want to learn or discuss during the session. If they have a doubt in a concept, I will ask them to explain the same concept to me in their own words and correct them wherever necessary. I will provide some good methods to study or approach that topic. I will conclude the lesson by asking them if there is anything they would like to discuss in our next session so that I could prepare some questions in advance. I will also regularly be assessing your improvement through the use of practice papers to get an idea of where the student is at and how they can further improve. I strive to get the best out of my students.
