With over a decade of experience teaching and tutoring at A Level, I have developed a wealth of resources and techniques for optimising exam grades.
My priority as a tutor is developing exam technique and providing students with the best methods for maximising their grades.
My sessions tend to focus on past papers, mark schemes, essay structure and working together to figure out the most effective strategies for achieving the highest grades possible.
I also want to help forge a lifelong love of the subject, and find ways to make psychology relevant to my students' lives.

No matter where you are in your learning journey, I can build your understanding, confidence and attainment, if you are willing to try, work hard and follow my guidance.
I have an excellent understanding of how students learn through evidence-based research and classroom practice. I have a systematic approach - I understand the student's need, how they think, their gaps in knowledge, their misconception and work with them to develop their confidence in the subject, be exam-ready and fulfil their potential.
I started tutoring alongside my studies in 2006. I've always found immense satisfaction in those lightbulb moments when someone struggling with a concept finally gets it. Science and especially chemistry is full of abstract ideas and often young people need that extra support from someone who can break it down to just the right level or explain in a way that it makes sense to them. I have a strong grasp on the curriculum and I adapt my teaching according to the needs of the pupils to ensure progress.
Any questions, feel free to drop me a message.

I always begin with a conversation to identify the areas where my students are struggling and tailor my lessons accordingly. This typically involves summarizing the topic and then using practice questions to reinforce understanding. However, I am flexible and can adapt my approach to suit your specific needs.
I always helped my peers when I was your age and I have also been tutoring GCSE Maths and science in a college for 3 years, during which I have gained valuable experience in the teaching field. My goal is to build a strong rapport with each of my students and develop personalized teaching methods to suit their individual learning styles. Having recently completed college, I have up-to-date knowledge of exam board techniques, which I aim to pass on to my students to help them succeed.
Additionally, I emphasize the importance of building confidence alongside academic skills. By creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment, I help students overcome their fears and anxieties related to maths and science. I believe that with the right guidance and practice, every student has the potential to excel.
I wish everyone the best of luck with their exams and studies! Your success is my priority, and I am here to support you every step of the way. Whether you need help with specific topics or general exam strategies, I am committed to helping you achieve your goals.

After achieving QTS in 1999, I taught in several primary schools for five years, covering all ages (from Nursery to Year 6) and a wide range of abilities (from working towards level 1 up to level 6), in the full range of core and foundation subjects. However, having a predominantly financial/ numerical background, I decided to focus my teaching on mathematics and commenced teaching mathematics in secondary schools from September 2004, covering a wide range of abilities from below NC level 3 to GCSE Higher level.
From May 2007 to August 2019, I was employed by Kip McGrath (Keighley), tutoring students (during evenings and on Saturdays) in Maths (aged 6 to 18 years, at KS1 level up to GCSE Higher level), English (aged 6 to 11 years, at KS1 &2) and in verbal and non-verbal reasoning, in preparation for 11+ High School Entrance Exams. This involved supporting students in small groups working on individual, predominantly computer-based, learning programmes, to enable them to catch-up or improve their skills in specific areas, whilst working towards their personal targets/ goals, e.g. in KS2 SATs, 11+ Entrance Exams or GCSE exams. This experience inspired me to set up my own private tutoring business, which I have been running since April 2014, providing tuition to individual students in maths (aged 7 – 18+), English (ages 7-13), preparing students (aged 9/12) for local High School Entrance Exams and preparing adult learners for Functional Skills exams in both Literacy and Numeracy.
Having studied many courses covering a wide range of disabilities, including ASD, Dyslexia, ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorder, I believe I have a good understanding of, and empathy for, students with SEND and SEMH. To this end, I have taught many students with a range of learning difficulties/ barriers to learning and feel that I have made a considerable difference to each student’s enjoyment of mathematics and life-outcomes. I believe that my own enjoyment of learning enables me to encourage and motivate others to successfully engage in the learning process.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, I have delivered many lessons via Skype and Zoom and feel that I have become confident and competent in using these platforms for teaching students remotely and would be happy to continue to do so if required.

I'm a dedicated and warm biology teacher with a solid academic background in life sciences specialized in Botany and Human biology. I graduated in Botany from Gauhati University and I've had experience preparing students for boards. I'm pursuing Mastes in Plant science and Biotechnology from University of Leeds.
My pedagogy is interactive, student-centered, and customized to specific learning requirements. I emphasize developing a strong conceptual framework through diagrams, examples from real life, and frequent practice. In classes, I typically start with a brief review of past material, present new concepts in a concise manner, and get the students involved through questions and discussions. I also include frequent testing, homework support, and test-taking tips for performance enhancement and confidence building.
Whether you need help with understanding basic biology concepts, preparation for competitive exams, or improvement of school grades, I work to create a friendly and effective study environment that encourages curiosity and proficiency.
