🎓 Who Am I? I’m a fully qualified Maths Teacher and former Head of Maths with over 8 years of leadership experience. I’m also an experienced tutor with a proven track record of helping students achieve top grades in both GCSE Foundation (grades 4–5) and GCSE Higher (grades 7–9). I’ve successfully supported a wide range of learners, including students with ADHD and autism, helping them build skills, confidence, and exam success. I am fully DBS checked having worked in a variety of settings such as Secondary, Primary, SEMH and SEN schools as well as being a football coach for children between 4-11 years of age.

Hello and welcome to my tutoring profile. To give context, I was a Teaching Assistant for 15 years and worked across all areas of primary levels from Nursery up to year 6. I finished my career being the leading Teaching Assistant in neurodiverse children as I have a passion for all children to have the education they deserve. I am an extremely caring, empathetic person with a passion for children’s education.
I planned, delivered and evaluated focus groups on a daily basis, often with the purpose to encourage cooperative engagement with other pupils. In addition, I had key children, who I would track their journey, in order to ensure they were meeting the key markers set out in the curriculum.
I would liaise with parents/carers on a daily basis. I created exciting multi-sensory environments which inspired and aided classroom learning.
I’ve worked alongside a variety of teachers when working in years 4,5 & 6 which allowed me to familiarise myself with the KS2 curriculum. I have 5 years’ experience working in Year 6 giving me a wealth of understanding of preparation for SATS, with children across all abilities.
In addition, I ran the school choir and school eco group. With the choir they would perform in assemblies, nursing homes and the local community. The eco group tended an allotment alongside people in the community as well as projects of planting using recycled materials around the school.
I believe children’s education should be an all-rounded experience and we should invest in them wholly and wisely as they are our future generation.

I have been teaching since 2006 across Yorkshire and Staffordshire, to a variety of age groups and abilities and in a variety of settings; from community groups to sixth-form colleges. Now I have returned to my roots in Doncaster, where I began performing at the age of 7 years and founded DN4 Dance & Theatre in 2019. In addition to a BA Hons in Dance and PGCE (PCET), I have a background in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Musical Theatre and is a registered teacher with BBOdance (British Ballet Organisation). When I'm not teaching, I work closely with local Theatre groups and on a professional basis, acting, singing and providing choreography for events/productions. While my recent formal experience has been with FE students and above, I have taught students from the age of 5 through to university level on a wide range of topics. Areas of study include; Physical Theatre (from Dance-based to Commedia dell'Arte), Shakespeare, Contemporary Theatre, Prose.
A general lesson will include a short warm-up (either skills or focus based) prior to the main content; breaking down a script/choreography, rehearsal, feedback and discussion based on learning taken place and next steps. I try to make lessons as practical as I can, dependent on the material that we are working with and the end result required.
