Dedicated private economics and math tutor with a passion for helping students excel in their academic pursuits. With 3 years of experience, I've successfully guided numerous students towards achieving their academic goals and building a strong foundation in both economics and mathematics. I have a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Swansea University and have recently started working toward a Master's in economics alongside my full-time job as an economist with the civil service. This helps me to keep completely up to date with economic theories and academic practices. I've always had a deep fascination for the subjects and continues to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and research in the field. This extensive knowledge allows me to provide students with comprehensive and relevant insights, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience. I believe in tailoring the tutoring sessions to each student's unique needs, learning style, and goals. I understand that every student has different strengths and areas that require improvement, and design personalized lesson plans to address those specific needs effectively. By providing clear explanations, real-world examples, and engaging practice exercises, I aim to create an interactive and supportive learning environment that fosters student growth and confidence.

Teaching science in schools can be exciting and stimulating. Children respond well in practicals and stimulating an exploratory nature of the subject, everyday science makes students feel that each lesson holds something new and valuable to life. There are a. Variety of strategies adopted by teachers to provide a range of learning activities. it is important to adhere to the National Curriculum to ensure that all students in a class have reached a level of understanding and are ready to move on to the next stage. Children may observe and record similarities and differences in topics covered.
Most of the instructions should be student led and this will dictate the questions posed by the teaching staff. Pictures, models and videos go on to reinforce the core concepts.
often a profitable combination of practical activities, models and analogies reading, drawing, group discussions all go on to achieve the teachers objectives.
I firmly believe that science investigations, illustrative activities and researching secondary sources of information promote deeper understanding and exchange of ideas in various forms.

Hello, my name is Steve www.*** I have just finished year 11 (although I didn't write the exams due to the pandemic), I am specialising in GCSE biology and chemistry AQA as these are the subjects in which I was able to consistently achieve grade 8s and 9s. I believe that I have learnt a fair bit of tips and tricks to master the GCSE biology and chemistry exams and know that by passing on this knowledge to current year 10s and 11s I will be able to ensure that they get the grade which they strive for and deserve, giving them an edge over every other pupil.
Moreover, the fact that I too was a GCSE student only 4 months ago means that I will be able to relate to the common emotions and struggles which the majority of students face within the 2 stressful years, and therefore will be able to give advice which perhaps an adult tutor cannot provide, both emotionally and academically. Furthermore, I am aware of the mistakes that I and many others were prone to make during the 2 years, and by choosing me you will be assured that your child will be clear of these vital mistakes, allowing them to use their time more productively, thus boosting their grade higher as well as standing out from the crowd. I will make sure to pass on the tips that I personally used to achieve consistent grade 8s and 9s and highlight the areas which most students fail to acknowledge, giving your child the edge over everyone else!
Please contact me if you have any other enquiries or to discuss pricing.
Stay safe.😀

I have completed a three year BSc in Psychology. This included acquiring basic knowledge across several domains of psychology including personality psychology, cognitive psychology, biological psychology, health psychology and social psychology. Knowledge surrounding mental health wellbeing and mental health disorders was obtained starting off with the basics and proceeding to develop knowledge in therapeutic approaches, psychiatry and meeting the needs of clients. I took modules in research methodologies and completed lab reports which led on to my dissertation of a study on chronic fatigue syndrome/ME. My option modules included two clinical and two language based courses: eating disorders, psychology of intimacy, Level 2 European Spanish and Level 1 British Sign Language. Alongside my degree I was chosen for a Psychology internship within the department, completed my mental health first aid and volunteered as a bazaar mentor delivering a CBT based programme to students.

I was teaching English to students at a private university in Japan from 1998 to 2020. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, my main job involved face to face lessons, either one-to-one lessons or in small groups of 4. When teaching TOEFL lessons I taught groups of 20 or more students. I also have experience teaching business English to groups of company employees, in particular, training them to give presentations and hold meetings and conferences in English. I have also taught children's classes part-time.
With these experiences in mind, I believe I have a great set of transferable teaching skills that will help me to teach any group of students and I have developed necessary skills in empathy, patience and creativity to communicate ideas and introduce concepts successfully to both small and large groups. I enjoy teaching and communicating with students, and I try my best to make the lessons as enjoyable and interactive as the material will allow. My experience of doing this with a range of different ages, cultures and abilities has given me valuable resources and ideas that help to improve the quality of my teaching, and I try to incorporate what I learn about the students into the classes to make them more engaging.
Recently, I've also had experience teaching my own children in Maths and English (they are junior school students) as their school closed during the pandemic.
