I am a Chartered Linguist with over 15 years of experience working in the language industry. I have a BA (HONS) in Languages and Translation Studies. My priority is tailoring each of my lessons according to individual students, which is a key aspect of one-to-one tutoring. I also use questions and homework to check understanding continually. I usually focus on exam-style or past paper questions in order to check, practice and perfect the student`s understanding and technique.
I always take a student-centered approach to teaching by asking students to bring their notes and talk me through the topics they feel are most difficult. My aim as your tutor would be to identify your strengths and weaknesses and build upon these appropriately. I would incorporate past paper questions very early in the curriculum to assess how well a child can apply their knowledge to answering exam questions. This will ensure that by the time the exams are sat the student will be fully prepared.

I have recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with first-class honours, as well as the Richard Shackleton prize for best dissertation in the year. As a consequence, I have developed my essay writing techniques and structures to a level that is a very high standard. I have 12 years of teaching experience. I have taught in various capacities which include 1-2-1, group sessions and contracting for local high schools. I teach both in-person and online.
I ran a tuition centre for more than 5 years before I was forced to close it because of the pandemic.

Mathematics is the only one subject I have been striving for excellence since I started in school as a student. Now as an experienced Maths teacher and tutor having all qualifications and degrees in Mathematics, I work to bring the best out of my students and get satisfaction out of their progression. After successfully finishing my PGCE course in St Mary's University Twickenham, I was teacing Mathematics in secondary grammar school for 4 years. During that time I have become aware of students' needs for gaining higher level as making Maths enjoyable and students responsible learners.
I also have three years tutoring experience on one-to-one basis.
I offer a GROUP tutoring up to three students per session. They must be on similar levels in Maths.
I help students to cope with Maths, to gain more confidence, to achieve higher level in school and the only one thing to accomplish it, is more exercises, more solving problems, more revision and the most important is more explanations in the best individual way chosen for each of the tutees. During my lessons I introduce the new material in a simple way. This is followed by working on instructive reinforcing exercises to enhance and deepen understanding and build confidence in the new knowledge. I set focused homework at the end of each lesson and discuss marked homework at the start of the next one using it to emphasis on the areas that require improvement and also for keeping a track of students' progress.

***DOING BOTH ONLINE AND FACE-TO-FACE LESSONS.*** I have Masters in Maths and I am Former Head of Mathematics of a high achieving Grammar school in Langley. I have been teaching and tutoring for the past 16+ years. I teach Maths, Additional Maths and Level 2 Further Maths in KS4 and Maths and Further Maths at A level. I have tutored GCSE and A level students from AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards and have had great results always. I am also an examiner with AQA, Edexcel, Cambridge International and OCR examination boards for both GCSE and A Level. The best part of my job is making Maths enjoyable and accessible to my students. It is hugely rewarding when your students achieve their potential grades and progress to the next stage of their academic life. I am very passionate about my subject. Before teaching, I worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer in a Software house specialising in Banking software. I have been tutoring for over 10 years and concentrate mainly on GCSE. I teach many adults from scratch or picking up where they left at school. I teach as I learned, not as a native speaker, but as a language lover who enjoyed languages at school and at university and aim to support my students by helping them with grammar and vocabulary so that they can make good progress.
When my own children were doing their GCSE's, helping them lead me to discover how much I loved teaching. All my lessons are very much tailor-made to suit the needs of each person and if teaching on-line I email notes after each lesson. I always go the extra mile for my students particularly in the run up to important exams and assessments.
