I am friendly, approachable and enjoy making learning meaningful for pupils. My lessons begin with starting activities to recap the previous learning, identify any misconceptions. Moving onto the main part of the lesson I plan activities promoting fluency in the skill then application to a real-life situation or worded exam-style question. Games and quizzes can be fun and useful in testing rapid recall.
I have been teaching for fifteen years and have taught learners of all abilities, backgrounds and socio-economic circumstances, planning for progression and offering timely feedback. I endeavour to make learning as enjoyable as possible and do my utmost to "make learning stick". I am compassionate and go the extra mile for learners.

I gained QTS in 2012 and spent over 10 years delivering outstanding lessons at one of the top rated Grammar schools in England. I was personally highlighted during my time there as achieving the best A- level results in the school, which was measured on pupil’s individual progression. I have 3 years of experience as a private 1:1 tutor where I teach online via Zoom. Students I work with make great progress (often jumping 2-3 grade boundaries within the first term) under my tutoring programme due to my experienced background and previous examining duties.
My approach is to be supportive, encouraging yet constructive in my feedback in order for my students to progress. My online sessions are personalised to meet the needs of the individual learner and are always tailored to the specific examination board being studied. I use various methods including delivering content that the tutee might not have grasped yet and I ensure to focus time each session on exam techniques in relation to short and essay based questions. I have a wide range of support material available and will often use this within the sessions such as model answers and examiner commentaries. My techniques are tried, tested and very effective.

I love the make children feel comfortable and show them how they can achieve something new everyday. Lucie Talbot is a trained dancer, choreographer, teacher, and artist well known throughout the UK, Whilst directing her 12-year strong hip hop academy, Training dancers who, have become accomplished artists themselves. Lucie first started her career as a Jazz dancer after training in 1998, at the Prestigious Italia Conti Performing Arts College in London. Whilst at her classic studies Lucie Trained at others studios across London for Street Dance Styles.
