I have taught AQA A level Chemistry for almost 20 years and taught AQA GCSE Chemistry for 10 years. I am an experienced exam marker for AQA A level and GCSE Chemistry.
I have over forty years' experience of private tuition to students aged 2 to adult. I have taught maths and English to all ages, including preparing students for entrance exams. I also teach science up to KS3. I have worked with those for whom English is not their first language, to help them improve their skills. I also have extensive experience of working with students with various kinds of special educational need such as autism, ADHD, delayed development, etc.

I have been Head of KS3 and KS5 Geography at a school in London and am moving to be Head of Geography at Harrogate Grammar School. I have taught both Edexcel and AQA A level and GCSE level and have tutored students for the last two years. I have also tutored students through Geography Coursework (Non Examined Assessment).

With a vast amount of experience working in a variety of schools and education settings, I have over 14 years of experience, with 10 of those working as a teacher and tutor. Specialising in Primary Maths, I work with small groups of children to increase their confidence and skill level through exam preparation and strategy led learning.

While my recent formal experience has been with FE students and above, I have taught students from the age of 5 through to university level on a wide range of topics. Areas of study include; Physical Theatre (from Dance-based to Commedia dell'Arte), Shakespeare, Contemporary Theatre, Prose.
A general lesson will include a short warm-up (either skills or focus based) prior to the main content; breaking down a script/choreography, rehearsal, feedback and discussion based on learning taken place and next steps. I try to make lessons as practical as I can, dependent on the material that we are working with and the end result required.
