I am also a fully qualified teacher and have taught and tutored both children and adults since 2011. My specialisms are A-level Economics and Business Studies but I have also prepared candidates for Oxbridge entry.
I have tutored both the domestic and international exam boards for many years including: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, EDUQAS, WJEC, CIE, International Edexcel, IB, Pre-U and SEB.
I have tutored online for over 3000 hours and find that for Economics and Business Studies it is as good as in person, if not better, since it is much easier to send model paragraphs and diagrams. I endeavour to make sure my students feel as comfortable as possible and encourage them to ask questions because asking questions is the best way to learn. My sessions are always tailored to the students' individual requirements and are focused around the specific requirements of the exam. Parents often remark that their child is much more confident with the subject following sessions with me.

I am a highly experienced teacher, performer, composer and arranger, living and working in beautiful East Devon. I love and play music of all kinds. Clarinet, Saxophone and Flute are my favourites, as nothing feels closer to the human voice.
After a first class BA in music and a PGCE that specialised in instrumental teaching, I have taught continuously in Devon schools and privately at home for over thirty years.

I have been an English Tutor for Foreign Language Students for almost four years now, but am looking to expand my expertise in tutoring to other students and languages. I am still very interested in teaching English langauge to Foreign Language Students, but would also like to share my Language skills and knowledge with other learners.
I studied French and Spanish as my undergraduate degree at the University of Exeter, where I graduated in 2023. This four-year degree has given me a great deal of confidence in both Languages, particualrly through having a Year Abroad where I worked as an English Teacher in a Secondary School and Professional College (teaching young adults). Alongside my degree, I consistently worked as an English Tutor and have built up my teaching style and resource bank for students. I am particularly proud of my students and what they have gone on to achieve - from developing their English language to allow them to build a life in England and flee from war-stricken areas, to nurtuting students to pass their TEFL qualifications and other various exams. I am a determined and (quite!) competitive individual, which I beleive rubs off onto students and encourages them to study and pass their GCSE's or A-level exams.
I have worked with children and young adults of all ages (from 4 years old to 22 years old) and have tutored adults in English Conversation Classes for nearly three years. I am therefore very adaptable when it comes to my students and their needs.
Last year, I passed my Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PgDL) with a Distinction, and I am happy to say that I am also available for tutoring in this disciplie. I am an English teacher and tutor, with over 15 years teaching and tutoring experience, particularly in preparing students for success in GCSE and A-level English Language and Literature. I have taught in 11-18 secondary schools, a sixth form college, an FE college and in independent schools, where I have coached IB and ESL learners. Currently, all my tutoring is done online. I use Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet and Google Classroom to teach my students, depending on the learner's preference. These platforms enable us to chat face to face via video link and give me the ability to share my screen and whiteboard. On Google Classroom, I set homework or assignments, providing my students with feedback and additional resources they would not usually receive with a regular tutoring session. Each student will have their own login for Google Classroom and resources will be tailored and personal to them.
