Hi there, my name is Kirsty and I am an experienced English teacher and tutor. Not only do I have an Honours degree in English and Drama but I also have been a class teacher and tutor for over 14 years.
Moreover, as well as having in depth experience of teaching all English courses, I am also an SQA marker. To date, I have marked every aspect of both N5, Higher and Advanced Higher English. This gives me a clear advantage over any other tutor as I know exactly what the SQA are looking for and am able to use this knowledge as a basis for all tutoring I do.
As well as robust knowledge and understanding, I also ensure I am approachable and empathetic in attitude. I am her to help and do all I can to boost self esteem and help young people reach their potential. I can guarantee that if I am your tutor you will feel heard and understood. I have over 20 years of experience in education. My specialism is maths and science but I have planned and taught English lessons as part of my daily job. I am based in Dunfermline, Scotland but have extensive experience working with online programmes and tutoring individuals and groups.
