My name is José María de Lucas Sacristán, though most know me as Chema Sacristán. I've been a professional drummer since 2004. I'd like to share a brief biography of my career in the U.K. In 2002, at 19, I realized my love for music and moved to Bristol, U.K., where I lived for four years. Bristol exposed me to all sorts of music, including rock, jazz, world music, and more. I played my first shows and worked with over five different local bands, gaining valuable experience. In 2006, I moved to London to study at Tech Music Schools, known as "Drum Tech," where I completed my higher education and earned a BMUS in Popular Music Performance (Hons), licensed by West London University. After completing my degree in 2011, I worked exclusively as a performing drummer and drum teacher, giving private lessons in my own studio, Oktopus Music Services, in North West London. In the past nine years, I've had the privilege of performing, recording, and writing with some of the best musicians in the London and U.K. scene, such as Kevin Glasgow (one of Europe's best bassists), Robin Banerjee (Amy Winehouse's guitarist), Roberto Manzin (Zucchero), Felipe Martíns (Emeterians), Juan Whist (The Voice National Spanish TV), and many others. I've showcased in most of London's live music venues and with the best U.K. and European entertainment agencies, such as Scarlett Entertainment, Full Stop Entertainment, and more. Hi, I am a fully qualified maths teacher with 7 years of experiance with teaching GCSE maths. My teaching style in sessions would be demonstrating how to gain as many marks as possible with effective exam style answers. I have been working with all secondary school years, years 7 to 11, since 2017. I have an abundance of experiance with all abilities and levels in this age range. I have the ability to adapt my lessons for all students that I would tutor. I am highly experienced with GCSE exam preparation for both the higher and foundation papers. I have a bank of past papers that I will share with my students. I will be available for messages throughout the week, so students can message me with questions they may have. I will also tailor each session to the students specific needs and give my professional advice on what topics may need to be worked on. I have had several years experience teaching Classics in the UK and am now completing my MA in Classics alongside my full time work as a Classics teacher in south London. As a key member I have been developing our provision so we now offer A Level Classical Greek for the first time in several years! One of the areas I particularly enjoy working in is successfully supporting young students as they prepare for entrance exams with previous experience in particular for St Pauls Boys and Winchester College. If required, I can also provide lessons, tutoring, or general support in English and History, if needed.
My A Level classes of 2022 all scored highly in their exams - 100% A*s in Latin and 100% A-C in Classical Civiliation.
In 2023, my GCSE and A Level classes continued to excel despite the return to 2019 standards and reduction in exam support from the boards, and I am incredibly proud of them all:

I am fairly traditional in my approach. My previous pupils - I am recently retired - would describe me as thorough, encouraging and able to develop a strong self belief to succeed in a tricky subject.
Teaching Chemistry for 41 years has given me significant insight into the common conceptual pitfalls that hinder learning. So, first and foremost, I aim to develop a sound conceptual understanding and thereby foster tutees' confidence. Grasping Chemistry is like tackling a jig-saw puzzle: The pattern emerges when the links between the individual parts are apparent; I pride myself in enabling tutees to make these connections. Once the subject foundations are secure we move on to questions, examination technique and past papers.
Vira has 3 year experience in teaching in musical school and 2years privat teaching. She teaches students age from 6 till 99 years old.
Vira started play violin at the age of 7. She finished musical school and after in 2004 she entered musical college named after D. Sichynskyi (Ivano-Frankivsk). She has a bachelor degree in violin received at National Music Academy of Ukraine (Kyiv) where she studied with prof. B. Kotorovich and Certeficate from Ecole Normale de Paris Alfred Cortot (Paris) where her teacher was prof. A. Goulard.
Vira won numerous national and international competitions,participated in violin masterclasses with such renown violinists as Z. Bron, O. Parkhomenko, K. Schatz. She had played with Symphony orchestras in Ukraine. She worked in Ivano-Frankivsk Philarmonic Symphony Orchestra from 2019 to 2021 (Ukraine).
She performed as a soloist and chamber musician in such countries as Ukraine, Poland, France, UK, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Spain. She participated in numerous musical festivals "Prykarpatska Vesna", "GogolFest" (Ukraine), "Finca Ustus Franz"(Spain), Landesmusicakademie Ochsenhausen (Germany).
Starting from 2016 she created chamber music progect "Concert-Classic" for performing music with collegues, firstly in Kyiv and after in London. She and team organised around 20 concerts in Ukraine an 2 in London. Project was recognise by Elle l'Ukraine and L'Officiel Hommes.
Art for me is life, heeling therapy, way too express yourself to feel free and I will love to share with you all this. I m passionate about teaching, patiently, understanding, calm and positive attitude.

Terms and conditions
I pride myself on building up a good working relationship with my clients. Since tutoring is normally for a period of some months as examinations approach and in the interests of fair play for both parties, I've set out some key points regarding charges and cancellations during the tutoring period.
Charges
A-Level sessions are delivered online weekly via Teams in one-hour blocks. Charges reflect my qualifications, experience and the way my sessions are tailored to each individual student’s needs, making them highly effective at boosting learning, confidence and grades. Knowing all the misconceptions and pitfalls on content and structuring examination questions makes all the difference and it is vital that tutoring is effective for the student.
I am happy to offer each new client one free initial assessment and discussion session to assess the needs and type of help required plus it gives you a chance to see how I work and fit in with your requirements. There is no obligation on either side to continue after this first session.
Cancellations Policy
Once a regular slot has been booked for the student, the same time every week, I will endeavour always to be available to tutor them. There is scope for discussion if a session needs to be rearranged (24 hours requested), subject to my availability.
From time to time, flexibility on both sides is required due to life events and unexpected occurrences. This may involve cancellation of a particular session or the need to reschedule and I will always try to accommodate if I can do so.
I have a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering and I'm keen on teaching students in subjects like Chemistry, physics and Mathematics.
