I lived and worked in Spain from 2008 until 2023 teaching mostly English. I have covered all ages of students in teaching anything from fun grammar and vocabulary games to exam preparation. Exam preparation is something I specialise in and have helped many students pass exams through Cambridge main suite and young learners, Trinity, TEOFL, IELTS and GSCE.
My values in teaching other people are very important and I stand by them with every pupil. It should be at least a little bit fun too! For people to want to learn, there needs to be some curiosity in the mind and curiosity is a fundamental part of being human. It makes us think and say” Hey, what’s this?” or “What 's that? It’s the real gateway to knowledge. Nevertheless, it can only happen when a certain door is opened and questions asked. It’s those questions that fire and excite the mind!

Hello. I am an enthusiastic, helpful, and approachable secondary school teacher who already has a wealth of experience teaching various subjects at different levels. The classroom space has been an avenue to put my theoretical knowledge and teaching strategies into practice. I teach English for specific purposes, English grammar, English vocabulary and English composition to beginners, intermediate and advanced level learners. I employ diverse strategies such as the communicative language teaching (CLT), task-based language teaching method, the Dogme approach, etc., depending on learners’ proficiency level. I incorporate real life objects which learners can easily relate to (Realia), trending topics and current world events in my lessons to keep my lessons fresh and relevant. This helps learners connect their learning experiences in the classroom to the world around them.
In addition, I encourage active learners’ involvement in my lessons through engaging activities, feedback and assessment reports employing role play activities, student led presentations, debates and break out room sessions (for virtual classes). My teaching practice aims to support learners in their quest to improve their English skills. As an ESOL tutor, I am saddled with the responsibility of providing quality English lessons, I prepare lesson materials that suit learners’ needs, considering factors such as age, background, and proficiency level.
