I have many years teaching experience. I have completed BSc (Honours) in applied accounting from Oxford Brookes University. In addition, I have passed two high profile professional exams (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants ACCA & Chartered Financial Analyst CFA) in accounting, finance and investment sector.

I teach accountancy, finance, investment, tax & statistics in graduate & post graduate level. In addition, I teach high profile professional exam students for ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT, CTA, ATT, CISI, IMC & CFA. I also teach portfolio management, wealth management, corporate finance, financial reporting, quantitative method, equity investment, fixed income, econometrics, alternative investment, risk management, derivatives and foreign exchange. In accountancy, I teach all subjects area which includes financial accounting, financial reporting, corporate reporting, management accounting, performance management, financial management including advanced financial management, audit and assurance, personal taxation, corporate taxation, capital gain tax, value added tax and inheritance tax. Moreover, I also teach GCSE mathematics and A level statistics & accounting and cover all boards syllabus.

I am a well-qualified, service driven, friendly and skilled professional. I thoroughly enjoy teaching students. My teaching style is very effective and efficient. I make the study material to students easy and understandable so that it makes sense to the learners. I provide friendly learning environment. I repeat key concept many times until the students grab it as understanding the key concept is very crucial for passing the exam. I demonstrate how to approach the exam question and answer the question within time limit as time management is another essential factor during the exam. Rate: The rate advertised in the profile is online rate. Online lesson is cheaper. Minimum rate for meet in person is £60 per hour and could be changed according to the distances. Rate could be changed due to complexity of the subject.
Other information: First lesson is 1 hour. Second and subsequent lesson is minimum 2 hours per session.
I am an experienced Mathematics tutor, helping students from GCSE to university level for over twelve years. I have a BSc in Mathematics from Imperial College, London and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from Warwick University.
Tutorial sessions would normally take place at my home in Stanmore or online.
INITIAL SESSION: I take the opportunity to understand more about the student, past exam results, other subjects being studied and future goals – this enables me to plan further sessions tailored to the areas which need most attention at the right time.
CONFIDENCE: I try to help students gain confidence in their ability by working on areas of weakness first. I try to break problems down into manageable chunks and explain those parts that do not make sense in more detail, using my communication skills to explain concepts in a simple way.
HOMEWORK PROBLEMS: these are set to consolidate what is covered during the sessions and to identify gaps in the learning; so feedback from this process is crucial to ensure that progress is continually being made.
EXAM PREPARATION: more emphasis on past papers, consolidation of knowledge and exam strategy, but this depends on individual circumstances. I provide my own solutions to past papers questions as needed.
I have been tutoring since 2015 since my GCSE results and marks spread across my community and started teaching A Level too in 2017 after getting the best results in my school, and almost 100% in my A Level Maths and Further Maths. Hey! I m Dan. I m a young and passionate mathematician, with a joint math degree from Imperial College London and MIT.
During high school I went to Maths Olympiads and now I am studying for a PhD. I like explaining maths, talking about maths or anything related to it. And I also like teaching. It s something that I think I can make a difference in.

I usually do sessions of 1. 5 to 2 hours. I feel this is a good duration to accumulate knowledge and not get too tired. I usually prepare exercise ahead of the session to consolidate the topic we discuss. First year tutor at Imperial College London (9 months) I feel my ability of teaching is best reflected at highscool, university admission tests / university level. I have an excellent understanding of Mathematics (supported by my results at Imperial College, where I scored in top 5%), which allows to me draw connections between fields and explain concepts in easier terms. I have had several years of teaching experience in a few different areas. I am currently working at a tutoring centre where I help students develop their skills in a large array of subjects. I have also had professional tutoring experience with MyTutor where I have tutored students for A-Level and GCSE Maths and Physics for over a year, helping students to achieve the grades they require. With MyTutor I provided support to students over a video call, helping them with homework problems and achieving the grades they wanted.
I used to be member of my school's academic mentor team and eventually helped to run and organise the academic mentors. Our role was to provide support to younger students studying for their GCSEs. I would meet up with one or two younger students over lunchtimes and provide support and tuition in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I partook in the academic mentor team for two years.
Further to this, I was a member of my school's Combined Cadet Forces where I was trained in how to prepare and deliver lessons to younger cadets and was later given the responsibility of training them. My time leading cadets in the CCF taught me how to effectively deliver information to people and the importance of suiting my teaching style to different people. I have also given support to some of my friends with EFL tasks and would often try and explain the mistakes that they may have made. This helped me to learn how to communicate ideas in an effective manner to people who are not entirely fluent in English.
During the lesson I introduce the topic and then I apply it using many questions. I give the student worksheet after every lesson to try and in the next coming lesson we work on it togther.

RE: TEACHER/TUTOR MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCES I am passionate about teaching children and adults, and as a teacher, I hope to be a role model, that cultivates in young and elder people, open minds, the knowledge and skills, and ability to look at they would critically, and the belief in ones' capacity to make positive contributions to society. In 1974 when I was in the Technical College, Sri Lanka, I went on Student Tutoring Scheme where I gained experience in teaching arithmetic and literacy, and achieved experience gave me the basic understanding of a working classroom, and the knowledge that working with and educating children would be something that I would like to continue in my future life. My undergraduate studies in Belarus have covered a wide range of the content involved in teaching further mathematics at A Levels, and my postgraduate studies broadened my knowledge in higher university mathematics.
