Salut! / Hola!! I`m Fabian. I`m a native and qualified teacher of French (with Spanish). I grew up in Paris and got a PGCE in Foreign Languages at the UEA in Norwich. Teaching is my passion!! I have more than 20 years experience in the field. I have worked in high schools and for business companies in France, Spain, Portugal and the UK.
I love to share my culture and knowledge of the languages I teach. I usually have a communicative approach and try to use authentic and interesting material. I truly believe that having meaningful conversations is the best way to improve one's language skills. And in the context of real conversations, , we can also improve your grammar, pronunciation and general accuracy in the language.
I can also adapt my classes to the needs of each student (business French / Spanish, conversational, preparation for interviews or examinations)

READING, WRITING AND LISTENING AND SPEAKING
These courses are designed to meet the standards of the GCSE Spanish reading, writing, listening and the three parts of the speaking exam using role-play, photo card and general conversation.
We prepare students for the exam and develop essential techniques while at the same time reviewing all content of the GCSE Spanish course.
Students improve their written Spanish in a variety of situations and we have special activities to improve listening skills and confidence.
We also offer a wide range of tips and strategies to lower stress levels and make the learning process fun.
MOCK EXAM PREPARATION COURSES
This course strengthens students’ competence in the four core skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening) and develops the techniques and knowledge required in these tests.
Students can review the complete exam content, familiarise with the style of questions and requirements and receive tips, advice and information on examination technique.
Hello there,
I am a Spanish and English Graduate from the Russell Group University of Leeds with over 3 years tutoring experience. This began with a mixture of guided reading coaching, teacher shadowing and teaching EFL tutoring in Madrid for two consecutive summers. Here I was entrusted with independently researching and collating my own lesson plans to markedly raise the linguistic level of nine-year-old Alejandro. Within a week, Alejandro could form the second and third conditional clauses in English, a high-level requirement for a student of his age. Personally, this taught me that flexibility is paramount in engaging students and improving their confidence; there is no one-size-fits-all method to tutoring.
I currently provide professional online GCSE tuition in English Literature and Spanish for “Tutortoo”. Although I am accustomed to teaching individual pupils, I am also regularly entrusted to teach large groups of 30+ with the company “Elite Medics”. I am well-versed in Spanish AQA and Edexcel exam structures and mark schemes and am confident in my online communication and engagement. I prioritize student feedback, seeking suggestions and confirmation that tasks are fully understood. In turn, I ensure that I tailor classes around their needs and passions in order to ensure a successful academic output. I also enjoy testing consistently on topics from weeks before, to develop a long term learning method.
Within Spanish, my study placement in ‘La Universidad de Oviedo’ allowed me to grasp the colloquialisms and conversational that textbooks occasionally fail to master. Whilst I will provide you with the expected tools to meet the marking criteria, I also seek to inspire and motivate with the sense of joy and spoken confidence that I gained from my experience abroad. Other formative leadership experiences, such as teacher shadowing and guided-reading coaching, armed me with the skills to effectively communicate with Primary and Secondary school pupils in an assured manner. Through witnessing the linguistic improvements of Alejandro in Madrid and the ongoing development of my current pupil, I am assured that my optimistic attitude, paired with a thorough knowledge of my chosen subjects, facilitates the academic growth of others.
Within English, I am passionate about discovering the inner creativity in my students. Originality of ideas was the key contributor to my recent Dissertation success, as well as my A-Level achievements. I will thus not only hone the pupil’s articulate and engaging writing style but also cultivate confidence in their own instinctual ideas. For this reason, I consistently repeat the mantra that “There is no wrong answer” during my English lessons.

I am a Head if Music who has taught curriculum music from ages 3 -18. I spent 7 years living in Spain and have taught Spanish alongside my music career. I also teach piano, singing and woodwind lessons and I am happy to teach up to A-level in both subjects.

Returning to Spain with my loved ones stopped me from carrying on doing what I love, teaching Spanish for foreigners. This is the reason why I am looking forward to starting this new experience teaching Spanish language online and sharing my culture with new students looking into improving their skills in my native language. I have 4 years of full-time experience teaching Spanish in the private sector in a boarding school in Berkshire. I have experience with Spanish IGCSE and A-levels together with its literature based on 'La Casa de Bernarda Alba'. My aim has always been to ensure the acquisition of Spanish through strategies and techniques that make learning meaningful using active methodologies such as gamification, service learning or emotional and social learning. From my perspective, active methodologies guarantee the involvement and motivation of students in the learning process ensuring the acquisition of lifelong learning skills such as respect or empathy.
