I originally trained and worked as a secondary school English teacher, but I found the pressure in schools led to teachers being overwhelmed with paperwork and the teaching element almost became a lesser priority. Now I prefer to focus on private tuition where my primary aim is teaching and enabling students to achieve. At Perfect Plus Tutoring, we strive to create an academic atmosphere which is enjoyable as well as beneficial. I offer private tuition to students in North Kent, Medway and Maidstone areas.

I am currently a full-time highly specialised KS3 and GCSE French and Spanish private tutor. I have extensive knowledge of both Edexcel and AQA exam boards. My previous experience includes working as a KS3 and GCSE language teaching assistant at an outstanding Ofsted rated secondary school in Upminster, Essex. My role encompassed a wide range of teaching activities from 1 to 1 tuition to aiding teachers in the classroom environment. Now my specialism is 1 to 1 online and face-to-face tuition and have been offering private lessons for 15 years. In the last few years I have created a wealth of additional interactive GCSE resources to meet the growing demand for online lessons. Each one of them is designed to put the student's knowledge to the test from one lesson to another. This focus on weekly incremental improvement has been vital for my current and past students in order to track their progress and identify areas of weakness that need to be targeted. My philosophy that emphasises this gradual process allows us to break down complex areas such as verb conjugation, advanced vocabulary and grammar into digestible and manageable pieces. As a result, the overall learning process becomes much more enjoyable which has been reflected in the overwhelming positive feedback I receive from students and parents alike. More importantly for me however, are the outstanding exam results my students achieve at GCSE level with many achieving at least 2 grades higher than their predicted grade.
