I have both industry and education experience in teaching maths and science from KS2, KS3 up to GCSE level with positive results. I am quick at indentifying my learner's needs and combining different effective approaches in ensuring my learners attain positive outcomes.
My knowledge consists of mainly science and maths as that is what my degrees are based on. However, I can accomodate GCSE level on any subject. The way I study is mostly independently and I have some techniques I want to share. As I am a student, I would prefer for the lessons to take place online but if you are in the Reading area, I am willing to tutor in person. I am flexible and we can arrange the lessons around both of our schedules. I am not a genius so there are some areas I won't have masses of knowledge on. To overcome this problem, please share all the curiculum before the lessons. I am open to any help you may require. I am very friendly and non judgemental person, I like to build connections to provide comfort during the lessons. I can help teach and provide more understanding on the subjects you are struggling on. I will help out with homework and can provide will small pieces of homework myself to aid in your learning. Independent studying is a must to retain all the knowledge; I understand that it is hard and people can lack the motivation. To help with that, I can help you establish the techniques for note taking and ways to memorise the content in the way it is best suited to you. Feel free to ask any questions.
I’m Jubina, currently a medical student in 2nd year. I teach KS3 and GCSE students mainly in biology, chemistry and maths. I tailor my lessons depending on the tutee and what he or needs help with from homework to understanding concepts.
I'm enjoy tutoring a lot and helping tutees succeed. I think your son or daughter has the ability to get the top grades regardless of where they are now. They just need to find a way of learning that works for them. I will be open to try different methods of teaching they prefer and go with what works for them. I encourage students to make mistakes now before their exams and learn from them.
My usual lessons begin with a recap from the previous lesson for 10mins with some exam style questions which will be very similar to the previous lessons. This is to make sure the tutee understood and retained what we learnt in the previous lesson. I have found this to be the most efficient for my current tutees. I will also give exam style questions as homework. As someone who was a student I feel this is the most effective way for them to get practice early on so when it comes to the actual exams they should be familiar.
First consultation is free so we can discuss what the tutee would like out of our lessons and where they feel like they need to improve. Their target grades and ways we could get them headed to the right direction. I will then tailor our online lessons for the tutee. The online platform will be on Microsoft teams. My family was living in England before I was born, however, my mum would travel to Germany very often due to her family living there, and therefore I was born in Bochum, Germany. We visit my mum's side nearly every year, which helped me learn the language and now I speak German almost fluently. Studying it in my GCSEs and A levels also helped me develop my knowledge. Originally I'm from Turkey, hence why I'm also very fluent in Turkish.
