Teaching is my passion. My purpose in life is to create a positive environment in the world. I love to teach children and students of any age group. I have also been associated with Brahma kumaris (World Spiritual Organisation) for 7 years. I have a profound understanding of my subjects, adeptly tailor instruction to diverse learning styles, fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment and effective communication. I also encourages critical thinking and empower students. Over the past six years, I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of subjects to students from diverse backgrounds. This experience has honed my ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, foster a positive learning environment, and adapt my teaching methods to individual student needs. Additionally, I recently authored my first book, "One Light and the Angelic World," which has further enhanced my knowledge and passion for sharing knowledge with others. Furthermore, my association with Brahma Kumaris, a world spiritual organization, for the last seven years has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the holistic approach to education. I have over 30 years experience as a professional practitioner in the Performing Arts including directing, stage management and teaching. I have run my own Performing Arts Schools and been Head of Department and Head of Faculty in varios colleges. I have also taught English from GCSE up to Degree Level.

I am an experienced academic passionate about inspiring individuals to aim high. I have assisted multiple students and early career academics to acheive their goals. I worked in research and teaching roles within UK universities between 2004 and 2024 and am an Advance HE Fellow. My main areas of research and teaching expertise are in sociology and qualitative research methods. I am the author of four books, have published in a range of international peer reviewed journals and have chapters in various other books. I also have significant experience in peer-reviewing for academic journals.
I have taught social sciences, sport & exercise and health-related science students in sociology and history of sport-related modules as well as research methods, study skills and dissertation modules. I have supervised PhD students to completion and have acted as a university mentor providing academic research support and guidance to colleagues employed at various HE institutions. I have experience of designing, marking, and providing feedback on a range of assessments, including exams, essays, reports, proposals, presentations, and dissertations, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. I have experience of approval events and collaborative provision between universities and FE colleges and have been an external examiner for undergraduate courses and PhD candidates. During my time working as an academic for over 20 years I have gained valuable skills and experience that enabled me to start my own freelance private tutoring, research and higher education consultancy business 'G. Academic' in 2023. I offer private tutoring to university students at all levels as well as training, mentoring and coaching to those new to research. In addition, I offer 'go to university' and 'transitions' talks to year 11, FE college and sixth form students. I am also available for external examining and guest lecturing, including study skills and research methods lectures, seminars or workshops. Moreover, I can provide editing, proof-reading, indexing and reviewing services for all types of academic writing and consultancy services for universities and other organisations regarding all aspects of research, teaching and learning in HE. Thanks to my extensive experience as an English teacher and enthusiasm, I have successfully worked with students from different backgrounds and ages, such as secondary school students, university students, and adults, fostering their English language skills and soft skills development. This experience gave me the ability to work with people from different backgrounds. Apart from my paid job, I spent most of my time teaching and working with young people from different backgrounds, which also shows that I am willing to challenge myself with the chance to help others.
I trained at the Oxford School of Drama from 2002 to 2005. As a professional actor, I've appeared in major TV, Film and Theatre productions in the UK, the US and Canada. My work on Supernatural, Psych and A Christmas Prince 1 & 2 can currently be viewed on Netflix. Prior to appearing on TV and Film, I spent 8 years working regularly in UK Theatre.
I have extensive experience working in corporate training and facilitation. In 2015 I joined a leading London-based communication skills company, departing to work independently in 2016. He has since conducted over 1000 hours of one-to-one and group communication training.
