Becoming a dynamic teacher has enabled me to differentiation my lessons by providing a more individual focus on students. This gives me greater ease in connecting with students and has created an increase in engagement during my lessons.
Education is an essential tool for preparing students to effectively live, work and trade in the global economy. I am passionate and committed about meeting the needs of students and helping them to grow as every child has the potential to succeed. I get great satisfaction in seeing students’ progress by reflecting on their journey from where they first started to where they are now.
I understand that the progress for one child will look very different to that of another, and therefore, I identify individual needs with the aim of helping them to achieve their personal targets.
I form positive relationships with all students as I understand that this is fundamental in creating a safe and welcoming environment for all leading to success.
I have 10 years experience of working in the educational sector. I am currently teaching/tutoring Business, Maths, Computing, and Economics to GCSE, KS3 & A-Level students. I have also recently completed my NPQ in leadership teaching.

I have worked at various schools including special needs. In these organisations I have worked with young people including those on the autistic spectrum, those with behavioural learning problems and those suffering from mental health issues. I have always found it is key to strike up a good relationship with the young person, understand their problems and work with them to help them develop mentally and socially as well as helping them to gain the best outcome for themselves. I find this immensely rewarding.
I have led Maths departments at three of the schools that I have worked at. I have taught GCSE, IGCSE, GCSE Statistics and Functional Skills level 1 and 2 This entailed researching new Maths ideas including the Singapore method and the Complete Maths curriculum. I have presented teaching ideas to fellow practitioners at my school and others. I have been the school’s examination officer and have marked examination scripts for Pearsons. I have taken part in the school development, for example looking to build maths into the whole curriculum. I have always sought to develop as a practitioner and looked to do something that was advantageous to the school I was working with.
As a practitioner working for the benefit of the young people, it is essential to differentiate their work to give them the maximum opportunity to succeed.

In addition to my teaching role, I am committed to ongoing professional development, regularly attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field. This commitment ensures that my teaching remains current, relevant, and informed by the latest research and best practices.

I am a qualified psychotherapist living in Scotland, the UK. After finishing college in Spain, I started traveling and learning languages.
I currently speak English, Spanish, German, Catalan, and Italian.
My tutoring path started at a very young age in Spain, tutoring and helping students with their homework and assignments. Some of the subjects I supported them with are literature, history, mathematics, English, etc. Then I continued tutoring teens and adults with diverse learning disabilities and health conditions, for that reason, I feel confident in working with all sorts of students. I currently teach Spanish, ESL and German.
I feel it is important to invest time in your education, as there is always room for improvement, something productive to learn, and new skills to develop.

I have a passion for tutoring kids. Even when I was in high school I used to tutor children 1:1 in helping them gain their confidence in speaking, reading and writing English proficiently. I have experience in tutoring IELTS to non-native English speakers and I am patient which I believe is an important quality to have. I study sociology which I believe will give me an upper hand as I can understand the psyche of the child I would be tutoring and how I can better tailor lessons to their suitability.
