Psychology Tutor, Teacher
I'm a trainee secondary Geography teacher, currently studying at UCL’s Institute of Education while teaching full-time on placement. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
As someone with ADHD and dyspraxia, and with close family experience of autism, I truly understand that every student learns differently. My aim is to help everyone achieve their academic potential, and show anyone with additional barriers in their way that they can succeed in a world not designed for them.
I achieved top grades in school, including an A* in English Literature, an A in Geography, a B in Psychology, and strong results across core subjects like Maths and Science.
I bring patience, empathy, and vast creativity to my sessions, adapting my teaching style to suit each individual. Whether you or your child needs help catching up, boosting their exam skills, or just gaining self confidence, I provide a calm, supportive space to learn and grow.
Im very flexible with location, provided i have a car and a 3 minute walk to the Piccadilly line.
Would love to hear from anyone looking to grow their academic or personal skills!

NHS Doctor with over 10 years of experience studying and completing exams and over 7 years teaching Maths, Biology and Chemistry for KS3, GCSE and A Level. My tuition approach is listed below.
Each lesson begins with a run-through of the topic and explanation of key concepts with opportunities for pupils to ask questions. Students are then provided with high yield exam questions and worksheets to complete. Questions are then marked together to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement. An emphasis is always maintained on exam technique during each lesson. Assessments to determine student improvement are provided every 4-6 weeks.
All students are taught how to study effectively using two evidence-based study techniques:
1) Active Recall - Here students create useful revision questions to test their memory of certain topics
2) Spaced Repetition - Here students are taught how to strategically review topics regularly and boost their chances of remembering important exam content throughout the year and leading up to exams.
My classes are always tailored with a personalised programme for each and every student and remain friendly and engaging. All resources including specialised notes for each exam board, revision questions and exam question related to the tutees exam board are provided free of charge. Tuition goes beyond the `hour slot` as students are able to contact me via phone, email and tutor hunt messaging. I also remain engaged with the lesson and do not `clock-watch`.
For 2023, I now have a team of dedicated tutors offering tailored approaches to tuition. Please get in touch if you have any questions or preference for female tutors as this can be organised too.
Thank you for all enquiries currently, we are organising classes as soon as possible.
Spring an Summer Booster Courses will be available upon request.

The Learning Navigator (Yvonne L) provides support with: 😀 Introduction to Psychology or Sociology A-Level - course preparation 😀 Ongoing support for psychology and sociology content in Years 12 & 13 😀 Mathematical content and research methods 😀 Significance testing (psychology) 😀 Examination technique with structure and format for answers including evaluation and analysis 😀 Revision techniques 😀 Year 12 to 13 summer booster sessions 😀 Final preparation for exams 😀 Search Instagram or Facebook for "Learning Navigator" to view my free resources and make contact. Look out for the blue/turquoise image of the sailing ship! I work exclusively online offering Monday to Friday daytime and evening sessions throughout the year. I no longer subscribe to this platform so cannot respond directly to messages.
I am a highly experienced teacher of psychology and sociology with excellent track record on engagement, confidence-building and results; past examiner for AQA psychology. Very experienced with AQA psychology and AQA sociology, I have also taught/tutored Edexcel & IB psychology (standard and higher level), OCR & WJEC sociology. Excellent resources to support students with tricky topics, help develop skills and allow stretch & challenge to meet the top mark bands. Follow me online on Facebook and Instagram as The Learning Navigator to access free psychology resources including my special topic summary sheets called octals.
If you are struggling with the research methods components of the courses, I can demystify, explain these and build your confidence with mathematical skills/statistical testing. Not sure how to structure examination answers for the longer questions? I can help with that too. Extensive experience means I can deliver comprehensive examination skills and guidance along with detailed subject content.
I have a Masters degree in teaching and learning and enjoy working with students to develop effective learning strategies and build confidence. Study skills development is a speciality - work smarter, build confidence, achieve better!
I am tutoring full-time after many years working in schools and quickly became fully booked, with many personal recommendations. I do accept new clients and conduct a free assessment to ensure there is a good fit and I feel I can help the specific student achieve their goals. I put a lot of work and preparation into sessions to tailor them specifically to my students' needs and have achieved excellent results including an A grade in sociology for a student who missed the whole of Year 12 at school and a C grade for a student for scored a U in their mocks just a couple of months before the exams! I cannot guarantee getting a student a particular grade and it is important to be realistic about your expectations before starting tutoring. One to one tutoring is very effective but is not a replacement for hard work and the many other factors that affect the outcome. Please enquire via Learning Navigator on Facebook or Instagram for more details and to book your free initial assessment.
Terms and conditions
I pride myself on building up a good working relationship with my clients. Since tutoring is normally for a period of some months as examinations approach and in the interests of fair play for both parties, I've set out some key points regarding charges and cancellations during the tutoring period.
Charges
A-Level sessions are delivered online weekly via Teams in one-hour blocks. Charges reflect my qualifications, experience and the way my sessions are tailored to each individual student’s needs, making them highly effective at boosting learning, confidence and grades. Knowing all the misconceptions and pitfalls on content and structuring examination questions makes all the difference and it is vital that tutoring is effective for the student.
I am happy to offer each new client one free initial assessment and discussion session to assess the needs and type of help required plus it gives you a chance to see how I work and fit in with your requirements. There is no obligation on either side to continue after this first session.
Cancellations Policy
Once a regular slot has been booked for the student, the same time every week, I will endeavour always to be available to tutor them. There is scope for discussion if a session needs to be rearranged (24 hours requested), subject to my availability.
From time to time, flexibility on both sides is required due to life events and unexpected occurrences. This may involve cancellation of a particular session or the need to reschedule and I will always try to accommodate if I can do so.

I am a young, energetic, kind and caring individual who has a passion for primary education. During my time at sixth form, I managed to achieve 3 A levels and I have recently achieved a BSc First- class Psychology degree. I currently work as an associate tutor in a primary school, where I assist whole class teaching, teach my own phonics group and my role focuses highly on the SEMH needs of the students. I have also worked as a mental health worker, I always put the needs of the students first and understand regulating emotions can be difficult for children in KS1 and KS2.
I have learnt many skills and new ideas working in a primary school that I would implement into my teaching ways as a tutor. I will make the sessions fun, engaging and interactive. I have a warm/ strict approach and will be dedicated into teaching my students to success. My main expertise would be primary education. However, I enjoy the subjects, maths and Psychology and would also be willing to help those students that need extra help with these subjects leading up to their GCSE’s.
I have a strong passion for primary education and will be determined and dedicated to leading my students to success.

Having done 6 A-levels (usual number is 3) and achieved high grades (A*A*A*A*AA) I have learnt a lot about study techniques that help improve recall and the understanding of topics. I believe it is empirical to teach with passion, through this I will not only improve your knowledge of the subject, but also give you confidence and determination to deepen your study within the topic yourself.
I am happy to help you with understanding concepts, covering class lessons, homework, and preparation for A-level and (I)GCSE.
Tutoring sessions will be conducted through Skype which will allow me and you to broadcast our screens and use the interactive whiteboard.
Send me a message either by WhatsApp, Email, or on this platform with times that would suit you and I will try to accomodate you. I am able to tutor from 8am - 10pm (11pm finish). Send me a message with what you want to cover and what Exam Board/ Specification you are following.
Hope to hear from you soon!

I am passionate about mentoring and empowering students to achieve their potential in across a range of subjects. One of the most important things to me as a tutor is that students feel comfortable asking questions and discovering the 'why' behind the topic. My sessions are friendly, fun and geared towards increasing the confidence and capability of the student.
