I am a Team Leading examiner for GCSE History and A Level Politics and hold an Associate membership from the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors. I hold my Advance Skills teaching from Warwick University (BECTA) and my teaching certificate from the University of Lancaster. I have written research papers on education and history, published under BECTA (2005/6/7) that analysed the way that students learned. I am an experienced middle manager and have been a School Improvement Advisor for BECTA. I have taught for at The Harrodian school and currently teach History and Politics at The City of London School.
I have taught both AQA and Edexcel A-level Politics (examining for the former). I have a real passion for politics in the UK and the USA. I use current events from the week to highlight the course and allow my students to connect to what they are focusing on.
For History I have a passion for US history and have also taught French Revolution, Mao`s China and Germany. For GCSE I examine for AQA - paper 2 Elizabeth, though have taught both AQA, Edexcel and the Cambridge IGCSE. I can cover most areas.
A Costs Lawyer and PGCE Tutor with 20 years experience in all aspects of academia who teaches Law, Politics and English in Cardiff at GCSE, AS AS Undergraduate, Post Graduate level and English ESL to Chinese children online.
After graduating I secured a position with Eversheds for 8 years as a Costs Lawyer and bespoke tutor. The emphasis was on managing a team with responsibility for recovery of costs on behalf of large external clients, predominantly insurers and government departments as well as financial organisations.
From November 2007, I embarked upon my own private practice with a dual purpose of providing legal advice to clients along side structures and bespoke tutoring. This was followed by a decision to work on a consultancy basis, continuing as a costs lawyer focusing on claimant work and concentrating on my tutoring skills, enabling flexibility to work around family commitments.
I currently have a broad range of private professional clients whom I teach face to face and online whilst also maintaining a traditional student base. I specialise in Law, Politics and English and online tuition to Chinese students aged between 4 and 14.
I am married with two boys. I love the outdoors. I was a member of the Welsh Surf Lifesaving Association for over a decade and am a dedicated surfer. Full driving licence. Fluent in Welsh and English. Interested in all aspects of global politics, human rights and the environment.

I've been an educator and specialist for over seven years now. I have my degree in Politics & Human Rights Law, graduating as a Scientific Researcher. I assess social policy and train professionals to have trauma informed practice and better safeguarding.
I have the honour of hosting workshops in schools across the country, including universities, to empower young people to achieve their academic goals and advocate for their wellbeing.
As a specialist I have ample training with safeguarding adults and children, to facilitate a safe learning environment. As you will note from my qualifications and professional experience, I have taught all four subjects for some 35 years, at College, University, Sixth Form College and High School. While the majority of my teaching has been in the UK, mainly in Birmingham, London and Bristol, nevertheless I have also taught abroad at university in the Philippines. Additionally, I have been an A'Level Politics and History examiner for the former London and Oxford & Cambridge boards in the 1990s and early post-millennium decade. So also, have I written course brochures for the History and Politics Distance - learning programmes for the National Extension College, Cambridge. All of this has added up to my having acquired a broad professional experience, which I put to the benefit of my students.
My teaching style is very much subject and communication based, with the emphasis applying knowledge and essay skills towards achieving the best exam results. There is also a priority attached to reading and grammar skills, both of which appear to be neglected by the contemporary British educational establishment. Hopefully I can use my experience and robust teaching methods towards enabling students to gain their best performance in exams and careers. - Please also note that I am happy to tutor students on-line - ie. Skype (Preferred) or Zoom, and have a fair experience of this kind of teaching.

I have worked in UK schools with recruitment agency as a teaching asssitant (supply stuff ) for almost a year. However, there has been a break due to my my maternity leave. I am fluent in English and urdu language and can efficiently communicate in both the languages easily.
