I am a former Head of PE, having taught in UK secondary schools for over 12 years, teaching core and examination PE. I have taught the OCR, AQA and Edexcel GCSE PE examination specifications, and the BTEC level 3 and OCR Sports Studies A Level specification. I love to put the theory into a real-world contexts that students can understand, utilising their experiences or those of professional athletes they admire. I left the classroom in 2018 to work in edtech as a Curriculum specialist and oversaw the development of interactive learning resources for students in KS1 - KS4 in English, maths and science. I also launched a Group Tuition product for KS3 students which was highly successful. My approach is to create personalised, high-quality resources for tuition sessions and combine that with an approachable and engaging delivery style. It's so important that students feel comfortable in tuition, in order to ask questions and not be afraid to get things wrong (that's where real learning starts!) I've worked with a range of students both within the classroom and in tuition. I enjoy working with students who are aiming for top grades, and also those who are lacking in confidence, feeling anxious and struggling to access the curriculum.
