Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. We were luck to have had colleagues we share the same vision with join us. Now we can teach all subjects from Primary through to GCSE, College /A-levels and Science & Maths at University level. All our teachers / tutors are graduates and qualified teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who understand the National Curriculum. Some of them are examiners at GCSE and A-level, which means they know the exam techniques students need to answer the exam questions properly and get better grades. Within the team, we have professionals with very high qualifications ie Masters Degrees (MSc / MA) and PhDs in various subjects. We can, therefore, be confident to say we are professionals who are dedicated to what we do with proven records in the UK’s most entrance and national exams. We are a tutoring organisation that is defined by its professionalism. Our aim is to provide a personal service. This makes us very different from most tutoring companies that just offer a platform for tutors and students to meet. We speak to clients so that we can match them with the most appropriate tutor for their needs. When this happens, the results can be remarkable & confidence grows. We personally know all our tutors and all have had DBS checks and their qualifications checked before we take them on. We are also a member of The Tutors’ Association (TTA) which was formed in 2013 to provide standards to the tutoring industry.

Becoming a dynamic teacher has enabled me to differentiation my lessons by providing a more individual focus on students. This gives me greater ease in connecting with students and has created an increase in engagement during my lessons.
Education is an essential tool for preparing students to effectively live, work and trade in the global economy. I am passionate and committed about meeting the needs of students and helping them to grow as every child has the potential to succeed. I get great satisfaction in seeing students’ progress by reflecting on their journey from where they first started to where they are now.
I understand that the progress for one child will look very different to that of another, and therefore, I identify individual needs with the aim of helping them to achieve their personal targets.
I form positive relationships with all students as I understand that this is fundamental in creating a safe and welcoming environment for all leading to success.
I have 10 years experience of working in the educational sector. I am currently teaching/tutoring Business, Maths, Computing, and Economics to GCSE, KS3 & A-Level students. I have also recently completed my NPQ in leadership teaching.

Check out my great reviews!
Is maths a mystery? Do you wish you understood ‘why’ as well as ‘how’? If you ask a question, does your teacher give the same explanation again and again? It doesn’t have to be that way. My methods really work; my students increase their mathematical abilities and confidence, and can explain what they’re doing. Some are so excited after my lessons that they can`t wait to tell their parents all about it! Do you wish your child was so inspired by their teacher that they voluntarily did extra maths in order to improve?
If your child has had a difficult time with maths at school, or perhaps you`ve tried other tutors and been disappointed, fear not, there is a better way. Follow other parents who have noticed their child leave my lessons with a grin, and a bounce in their step, follow other students who have messaged me after exams to tell me that there was so much they could do! This way works; maths doesn`t have to be a mystery.
I'm a qualified teacher with 12 years experience of teaching in schools and as a private tutor. I cover all secondary maths, including the IB and all A-level boards. You can find reviews on my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550861671606) and more reviews on this page https://www.tutorhunt.com/users/mrstreen/.
In the first lesson, I`ll ask lots of questions to get a picture of what my new student can and can`t yet do, and more importantly, what they understand. I`ll then use that to build a programme for the next few weeks, including any topics that they would like to work on. Often I point out weaknesses that my students haven`t noticed or haven`t realised are holding them back; once we fix these, progress is visible and can be quick.
My planning is completely flexible and is built around my student’s progress and needs, and I use a variety of resources so that we can explore topics in different ways. I am patient and used to explaining concepts in several different ways to find the way that works for each individual. I don’t teach tricks (unless you want me to), I focus on helping students to understand.
What online lessons require and involve
Having online lessons is often something students haven’t considered or perhaps feel daunted by. I’ve taught a number of students online, some exclusively so and some when convenient e.g. when they or I went on holiday. Online lessons also allow me to be more flexible over timings and to offer a lower rate since no travel is involved.
Has your child ever been so excited by their maths lessons that they asked to have one while away on holiday? My students have!
Online lessons require a computer, not necessarily a laptop, internet access and a quiet room.
I carry out lessons on Bitpaper, an online free whiteboard. If students sign up for an account, they can save that whiteboard and come back to it whenever they want. Thus they have ready-made notes after each lesson.
My students can opt to have cameras on or not; I am always happy to follow my students’ lead on this. I know some people prefer to work unseen whereas others like being able to look at my face as we discuss topics. What matters is that my students are comfortable.
I set homework on another website, also free to use, that marks work for me and the student and allows me to focus on giving feedback and correcting misconceptions.
Online tutoring greatly increases your choice of tutors. Why not contact me today and tell me what it is you would like to achieve?

Professional Experience
Hartshill Academy, UK Trainee Teacher of Maths September 2024 – Present As a Trainee Teacher of Maths at Hartshill Academy, I deliver engaging and well-structured lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, covering core topics including algebra, geometry, and statistics. I use formative and summative assessments to track student progress and provide targeted feedback that supports individual learning needs. My teaching incorporates educational technology—such as interactive whiteboards and digital platforms—to boost student engagement and learning outcomes. Additionally, I provide lunchtime tutoring to support students with Sparx Maths and attend professional development workshops focused on pedagogy, behaviour management, effective questioning, and classroom management.
Twenty 4 Seven, UK Supply Teacher January 2024 – July 2024 In my role as a Supply Teacher, I managed classroom environments across various schools, maintaining discipline and ensuring a positive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning. I effectively delivered pre-planned lessons, adapted to diverse learning styles, and kept students engaged in meaningful educational activities. I adhered to school policies, provided feedback on student work, and communicated important updates to permanent teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning. My ability to quickly adapt and manage different classrooms helped me build confidence and flexibility in my teaching approach.

I'm Victoria, I’m a high-achieving A Level student with grades 9999 (4A*s) in GCSE Maths and Triple Science, currently predicted 3A*s, with over a years experience of tutoring, I enjoy helping students build confidence and understand complex topics and love helping students learn!
I have previously worked with SEN children and those with learning difficulties, I love tutoring and empowering children in chemistry, physics and maths!
I take a personalised approach to each lesson, adapting my teaching style to suit the individual needs, learning pace, and goals of every student. I begin by identifying their strengths and areas for improvement through active listening and targeted questioning, then structure lessons to build confidence in weaker topics while reinforcing core understanding. Whether a student learns best through visual aids, practice questions, or real-world applications, I adjust my methods to ensure they stay engaged and make meaningful progress. I also regularly check understanding and provide feedback to help students track their development and stay motivated.
