True Self Coaching began as a yoga retreat business and has blossomed over the years into a consulting business which includes yoga classes and workshops, a signature meditation program, spiritual coaching, voice and art lessons, and original artwork. I have worked with students of all ages and always meet them where they are and give them permission to express themselves authentically and confidently without worrying about making mistakes. I love people and love seeing them succeed and live peacefully and joyfully. With a background in performance, healing and creative arts, I am an adaptable, professional and friendly teacher and support students in finding their truest selves.
With an extensive background in tutoring multiple subjects, I have developed a unique ability to adapt lessons to suit the educational needs of diverse learners.
Education is not one-size-fits-all, and my tutoring approach reflects this philosophy. I am proficient in creating and delivering educational content that engages students from elementary to college level. Whether it's helping a high school student grasp complex calculus concepts, guiding a middle schooler through the intricacies of English grammar, or introducing the basics of computer programming to a college student, my teaching methods are flexible and responsive to the needs of each student.
Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that a strong understanding of foundational concepts is crucial for success in any subject. My teaching style focuses on building this foundation, and then advancing to more complex topics at a pace that is comfortable and effective for the student. I strive to make learning interactive and enjoyable, using a variety of tools and techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
Whether you are starting out or are experienced and need help with your acting I will draw on Meisner and Stanislavski methos techniques to help you acheive your goals with your performance. I cover ALL aspects of working towards a career in Acting including: * Researching and preparing for drama shool auditions * Directing monologues * Researching and applying for an agent * Directing auditions * Preparing for a role / Interpreting text * Approaching Casting Directors * Self-tape training (most castings are initially done by this) * What to expect from the industry * Acting for stage * Acting for film (essential and very different from stage acting) * Understanding IMDB/Spotlight/Equity/Mandy etc I work with any ages/abilities. These lessons also have an option of working towards shooting a showreel scene if requested (£negotiable). Showreels are essential in progressing in the industry. Having studied Musical Theatre since the age of 15, I am now graduated from a prestigious London drama school, signed with an agent and am beginning the process of entering the industry. I wouldn't be where I am today without my teachers and tutors and I want to pay that forward to help young people achieve their creative goals. I like to work very personally, so we will sit down in our first session and discuss your personal goals, I will then work with each individual student to reach those goals. I'm willing to give anything a go, as long as you are. Let's work hard and have fun!
Drama and English literature/language lessons in Chigwell, UK.
Over the past 10 years I have been Head of Performing Arts. Teaching Drama and Music at KS3, KS4 and KS5. I have also taught English at all levels.
More recently I have been teaching primary school children at KS1 and KS2 and have over 10 years experience in tutoring English at all key stages. All my students have always achieved their target grade or better.

I have been teaching since 2006 across Yorkshire and Staffordshire, to a variety of age groups and abilities and in a variety of settings; from community groups to sixth-form colleges. Now I have returned to my roots in Doncaster, where I began performing at the age of 7 years and founded DN4 Dance & Theatre in 2019. In addition to a BA Hons in Dance and PGCE (PCET), I have a background in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Musical Theatre and is a registered teacher with BBOdance (British Ballet Organisation). When I'm not teaching, I work closely with local Theatre groups and on a professional basis, acting, singing and providing choreography for events/productions. Over my experience in working in FE, I have successfully supported many of my students in their application process to Higher Education and Drama school; selecting and rehearsing monologues for audition and preparing UCAS application. Some of my former students are currently studying at ALRA and UCLAN and I have also successfully helped students gain entry to Anglia Ruskin in Cambridge.
While my recent formal experience has been with FE students and above, I have taught students from the age of 5 through to university level on a wide range of topics. Areas of study include; Physical Theatre (from Dance-based to Commedia dell'Arte), Shakespeare, Contemporary Theatre, Prose.
A general lesson will include a short warm-up (either skills or focus based) prior to the main content; breaking down a script/choreography, rehearsal, feedback and discussion based on learning taken place and next steps. I try to make lessons as practical as I can, dependent on the material that we are working with and the end result required.
I trained at the Oxford School of Drama from 2002 to 2005. As a professional actor, I've appeared in major TV, Film and Theatre productions in the UK, the US and Canada. My work on Supernatural, Psych and A Christmas Prince 1 & 2 can currently be viewed on Netflix. Prior to appearing on TV and Film, I spent 8 years working regularly in UK Theatre.
I have extensive experience working in corporate training and facilitation. In 2015 I joined a leading London-based communication skills company, departing to work independently in 2016. He has since conducted over 1000 hours of one-to-one and group communication training.
