With a vast amount of experience working in a variety of schools and education settings, I have over 14 years of experience, with 10 of those working as a teacher and tutor. Specialising in Primary Maths, I work with small groups of children to increase their confidence and skill level through exam preparation and strategy led learning.
I have taught Maths successfully for 39 years in an Outstanding School, upto GCSE. I offer one to one online tuition, always focussing on improving your confidence in Maths, and developing your Problem solving skills in line with the New style GCSE. I offer catch up lessons for students in Years 7 to 11, as well as continued support right up to their GCSE. I would love the opportunity to support you child in developing their self-confidence in Maths, and achieving if not surpassing their target grades, to reach their true potential.

I have over forty years' experience of private tuition to students aged 2 to adult. I have taught maths and English to all ages, including preparing students for entrance exams. I also teach science up to KS3. I have worked with those for whom English is not their first language, to help them improve their skills. I do not have much experience as a tutor per se, only helping my siblings and friends when they do not grasp certain notions but I easily adapt to the needs and requirements of those I am teaching and am able to see problems from different angles as to get to the root of the problem and find the explanation that better suits the student.

I am a full-time Primary Teacher with a mathematics specialism. When not in my classroom, I offer online lessons for all primary-aged children in subjects ranging from Maths, English and Science. I am down to earth and very approachable by both children and adults. I believe learning should be relatable, memorable and most importantly, fun. I provide online tutoring with entails the use of a visualiser, visual manipulatives (maths) and online teacher resources to provide targeted support.
What would my first session look like? I often use the first session as a get to know you session along side a small 'quiz'. This is so there is mutual respect and tust between myself and the tutee as I beleive it is so crutial that children feel comfortable in asking questions about their learning without hesitation. This session also facilitates the next learning step for the subsequent lesson as gaps in understanding can be identified and targeted.

I am a Physics PhD, I studied at the University of Nottingham and finished 2018, with additional studying at Oxford University (St Catherines College). My research was in MRI Physics and focused on B0 fluctuations resulting from patient motion, and their impact on EPI imaging. During my research i also tutored first year Physics students in Programming (primarily MATLAB).
I have spent the last 5 years in Germany as part of the R&D team for Siemens Healthineers which develop world leading MRI scanners.
I am now looking to help young people with their own education. My tutoring method is generally to build and develop from fundementals rather than fact memorisation.
I can also offer help with University applications, as i worked as a student ambassador for the university as a student.

Hello! I am a Mechanical Engineer who achieved A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics. This means i understand the necessary tips and tricks to get those extra marks in exams. Spaced repetition, active recall, and tricks in recognising exam patterns are some of the skills that are proven to be effective.
I break down complex topics in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, into easy and understandable sub-topics.
Lessons can be a thorough run-down of all necessary work to achieve every single mark possible, and/or sharing advanced tips and tricks to tackle exams efficiently. We go through theory, try practice questions, and once the student is confident enough, move onto doing past paper exams. However, these lessons are flexible; teaching is mostly centred around the student's abilities, and at the pace they choose.
