I am a qualified Primary School Teacher from Urmston. I left University in 2011 with a First Class BA Honours in Primary Education and have taught in Primary Schools in Trafford ever since. With over 13 years experience teaching in EYFS, KS1, LKS2, I have extensive knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and end of year expectations. I have taught many children over my career with various educational needs including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and have a particular strength in being able to adapt my teaching in order to ensure the children in my care thrive with their education. I have a proven track record in the use of effective assessment in order to quickly identify a child’s strengths, diagnose gaps in their understanding and plan for their next steps. This is a vital skill when tutoring young children.
I am a warm, welcoming and honest teacher and I pride myself on my ability to bond with children to help them to reach their full potential. Knowing how your child learns enables me to adapt my teaching style and teach to their need and at their pace.

I went school and my best subjects at high school was maths and I was extremely good at GCSE science. I now do a levels in a level biology, chemistry and psychology. I am a really good tutoring and I can get your student a good grade.
I have been privately tutoring Mathematics to students from the ages 10-18 (Secondary School through to A-Levels) over the past four years whilst completing my Master's degree in Mathematics. I take great pride in my work as a tutor, and always make it a priority to make my students feel comfortable that they can ask me any questions at any time during a lesson. Having been on both sides of the small classroom teaching dynamic, I can sympathise with how some students may feel a sense of unease when starting a new class with a new teacher, which can ultimately impact their classroom learning. During my lessons, I like to stress the importance that this is not simply another classroom lesson where I talk and the student should remain quiet, and instead encourage my students to ask me any and all questions they have about the subject. The more they can tell me about their concerns with Mathematics, the more information I have to work with when adapting the lesson to their needs. My preferred teaching style is to look through previous work that a student has completed, and create complete breakdowns to topics/exam question solutions to give the student a step-by-step method that they can use beyond the lesson. After each lesson, I send an email with a document attached that contains all of the information discussed during the lesson, so that they can use the teachings at their own leisure in the future. If I specialise my lessons to each student, then what would be the point of me not sharing the resources afterwards? My working times are quite flexible, as I work from home, so most days from 10:00 - 18:00 work well for me. This is not a strict time window, however, so please feel free to contact me with alternative times outside of these hours, and we can see if we can make it work. Introduction about me:
In 2020, I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 2:1 in BSc Geography. During my degree, I became extremely passionate about the subject of geography and therefore I have gone into the world of teaching to teach this amazing subject.

I recently graduated from the University of York studying my PGCE in geography teaching. Despite the disturbances throughout the last year, I have had an excellent experience teaching both in schools and online, working with a variety of abilities amongst children. I have taught geography to years 6-11 and have had experience observing A-Level geography teaching

I have been tutoring for 8 years both 1 to 1 and in After-School clubs to children ranging from reception to year 7. I have experience working with SEN children and work as a TA in primary schools. I also have over a years experience in tutoring beginners French to adults via zoom.
My tutoring approach depends on the student, I am a firm believer that one box does not fit all. Everyone is an individual and learns in different ways and I adapt every lesson to each student and how they learn, through structured lessons, games or a mix of the two. I always aim to make my lessons fun whilst still being educational and pushing my student to reach their full potential. Each student learns at a different pace and if you have a set time frame for your goal I will recommend a suitable amount of lessons I think will be needed or if you are learning in a more relaxed time frame we can adapt as we go.
I give options as to if I will set homework, not everyone has time for it and I appreciate that and some need it as additional structure to their lessons and I am happy to provide it in that case.
