I am a Maths and Physics enthusiast with an aptitude in essay based subjects as well ,specifically economics. I am currently an undergraduate at Imperial College for Aeronautical Engineering and am happy to teach all abilities up to GCSE. From my tutoring background I have developed a calm and reasoned approach to mentoring. I have tutored maths online via a text-based mentoring app where we used whiteboards an to guide students . As a violinist of 9 years I have also tutored experienced players during my last 4 years of school. Overall I can draw from my experience to ensure sessions are engaging yet effective. I teach GCSE Economics, Maths and Physics and am proficient in all types of question, from exam to a more problem solving type. Using the specification I can tailor any material taught to the student’s needs, maintaining precision in key concepts. I prefer a two-way dialogue when teaching as I believe this is the best way to learn.For Economics I have strong knowledge of key diagrams and theories, as well as the ability to discuss extended chains of analysis . Hello and welcome to my TutorExtra profile. I'm Emma, an experienced Primary School teacher with a specialism in Early Years. I am described as caring, nurturing and welcoming teacher and individual.
I have taught in mainstream primary schools for nearly 10 years and prior to this, I was a Nursery Nurse for a near by council, working for SureStart with children aged birth to five. Within in the Primary School sector, I have worked with all Key Stages but my preference and comfort zone lies within EYFS and KS1. I am an Early Years Lead teacher, which means I'm responsible for the Early Years department within my school and I also lead the phonics and early reading curriculum throughout school too. I am a believer in hands-on learning; using resources wherever possible to support the children's understanding, to deepen concepts and most of all have fun is something I'm passionate about.

After graduating from Newcastle University with a First-Class Degree in Journalism and Culture, I began a career in education through Teach First. I have since worked in a variety of different schools where I have shared my passion for learning with the many pupils that I have taught.
I am a fully qualified teacher with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and extensive experience in primary settings including as Head of Maths. I have a meticulous knowledge of the primary curriculum, having taught for extended periods of my career in Year 6 as well as in lower KS2 and KS1. Most recently, I have worked as a specialist Year 6 SATs tutor educating small groups and individuals to help them to achieve accelerated progress towards their academic goals and aspirations. During this role, I have worked with a range of children including those with SEN.
I believe that there is no one set approach to improving academic standards and that instead this should be tailored towards the needs of the pupil on an individual basis. For example, this could involve providing challenging and thought-provoking material or rebuilding a pupil's understanding and confidence from the ground up. At the heart of my philosophy, I believe that tutors should build meaningful relationships with their pupils and encourage a love of learning.

Hi, I'm Sean! I am currently studying Mathematics as a second year student at Northumbria Univeristy. Throughout my years at school and then in to college, maths has always been a passion of mine, but I also know that it sometimes can be a bit tough! Whether it be a concept that you just can't quite get your head around, or an equation you don't quite understand- I'm here to help. I have been teaching for the past 18 years. I have worked in primary schools across County Durham and have considerable experience in teaching across all the primary phases. I have lots of experience teaching pupils with autism, adhd, dyslexia, dyscalculia and emotional and behavioural problems. My approach is that learning should be fun, creative but also providing the essential skills all children need to make good progress. I am adept at planning sessions that cover the national curriculum requirements , but at the same time making sure I meet the child where they are in their journey of learning. I have a caring, nurturing approach but set high standards of achievement with all my pupils.
Firstly, I have over 25 years experience of teaching Mathematics to the 11-16 age range in Secondary schools. I am skilled in assessing their strengths and weaknesses and identifying gaps in their knowledge, thus enabling me to personalise resources to meet the needs of each student.

Whilst I currently teach Maths and English in Year 6, I have many years of experience teaching also in Year 2 up to Year 5. I have been teaching the Year 6 curriculum for over 18 years and during this time have taught not only whole classes but also tutored children during 1:1 booster sessions targeting the individual needs of each pupil.
