I have been in the field of education for some years. I was trained for teaching at the Primary Education level, specialising in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at the University of Salamanca (Salamanca, Spain). Apart from spending 4 months in two Spanish schools developing my internship.
My focus lies on ensuring that children balance learning with fun in the classroom and building confidence in their own ability, maintaining a positive atmosphere, using creativity and following a communicative and meaningful approach.
As a teacher, I encourage and develop creativity in all children, ensuring each activity allows them to develop their confidence to be independent and active learners, utilising their knowledge and skills in order to achieve their best and learn about the world around them. My aim is to make my teaching as fun and interactive as possible, enabling their school experience to be meaningful, enjoyable and motivating. I celebrate both the successes of the children and the mistakes that form a vital part of a child’s learning as they explore their own talents and abilities. I have been developing a creative, engaging and enabling learning environment, both indoors and outdoors.

Breaking down topics into manageable chunks Using real-life examples to illustrate mathematical principles Encouraging active learning through problem-solving and discussion Providing regular feedback and encouragement Focusing on exam technique and rubric to ensure students know what examiners are looking for
Typical Length of a Lesson
My lessons typically last 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted to suit individual students' needs.

Hello! I’m Georgie – a friendly and dedicated tutor with a passion for creating a calm, supportive, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
I currently work as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) teacher within a specialist resource base, supporting children with complex communication and interaction needs. I qualified as a primary teacher in 2023, with a specialism in SEND, and have since worked with children across a range of ages and additional needs in specialist settings.
My passion for supporting children with SEND is deeply personal—my older brother has a diagnosis of autism, which has inspired my commitment to helping children and young people with autism reach their full potential. I’m particularly focused on building confidence and celebrating each child’s unique strengths.
In my tutoring sessions, I aim to provide focused, personalised support tailored to each learner’s individual needs. Whether your child needs to close gaps in learning, build confidence, or access education in a way that works better for them, I’m here to help—always with patience, encouragement, and care.
Tutoring Services Offered:
• Primary English – including reading and phonics
• Primary Maths
• SEND-specific support – tailored for needs such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and more
• Online sessions available
• 1:1 in-person sessions (either at your home or mine)
If you’re looking for a tutor who will take the time to understand and support your child’s unique learning journey, I’d love to hear from you!
Warm regards,
Georgie

Ah, so you've come seeking mathematical enlightenment? How refreshing. I do hope you’re prepared for a level of rigor and intellectual discipline that is, frankly, beyond the grasp of most. Mathematics is not some pedestrian subject to be skimmed through like a cheap novel; it is the foundation of all logic, the very language of the universe.
If you are here to “just pass a test,” I suggest you find a lesser tutor, one content with mediocrity. But if you aspire to truly understand—to revel in the elegance of proof, the sheer poetry of numbers—then, perhaps, we may proceed. Big Dawg Mike signing out

I have been working as a teaching assistant in a secondary school for 3 years, supporting students from years 7-11 with a range of abilities and special educational needs. As I currently work in a secondary school, I have first hand experience on the curriculum and strategies used to make learning more enjoyable.
I have a degree in Psychology, graduating from UWE with a high 2:1. I can help students structure essays and grasp key concepts which outline psychology.
I am fluent in French as I grew up in Belgium. I took my French GCSE in year 9 and continued to study it until A levels.
I am in the process of becoming a secondary school maths teacher. It is a subject I really enjoy teaching and where most of my experience lies throughout my time as a TA. I have supported from set 1-6 and given 1-1 interventions for students needing extra attention.

Greetings, I am Abdul Junaid K., a dedicated individual with a robust academic background in engineering, currently advancing my knowledge through the MSc Health Technology program at UWE Bristol University. My professional journey has encompassed a significant teaching component, where I have effectively educated and mentored students ranging from 5 to 10 class levels in the domains of mathematics and science.
My engineering degree serves as the bedrock for my analytical and problem-solving skills, providing a unique perspective that I am eager to integrate into the field of health technology. This academic blend positions me as a versatile and innovative tutor, capable of imparting not only foundational knowledge but also fostering a holistic understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of healthcare innovation.
Throughout my teaching tenure, I have honed my communication skills, ensuring that complex concepts are conveyed in a clear and accessible manner. As I embark on this new chapter in health technology, my experience in education equips me with the ability to engage and inspire students, fostering a dynamic and interactive learning environment.

A little bit more about me:
• Outstanding Academic Record: In my IB exams, I scored an impressive 44/45 with 7/7 in all my Higher Levels (Biology, Chemistry, Psychology), as well as Maths AA SL and French. This is equivalent to all A* results in the A-level curriculum.
• UCAT Excellence: I achieved a score of 2930/3600 in my medical school entrance exam, placing me in the top 6% globally in my year
• Medical School Success: I received interviews and offers from all 4 medical schools I applied to, including Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham, and Bristol, showcasing the quality of my personal statements and interview skills.
• DBS Certified: Ensuring a safe and trustworthy learning environment.
I started teaching back in year 10, when I opened a learning centre at my school to teach English to underprivileged children in my neighbourhood back home in India. I worked with these children for over 2 years, using my knowledge of effective learning methods as a student to help these children communicate fluently in English despite not being exposed to the language much before. It was here that I first learnt the importance of personalising teaching for each student—when every student comes with their own needs and preferences, there is nothing more important then finding a unique and flexible approach to teaching that is fit specifically for them.
For the past two years, since I have started university, I have also been helping students across the UK with 11+ exam preparation, as well as tutoring KS3 and GCSE mathematics. This period of teaching has strengthened my skills as a tutor and given me experience with teaching students of a variety of ages and backgrounds.

I believe the best way to approach a difficult topic is to encourage discussion, before working with exam-style questions, focusing on method and exam technique. At 21 years of age, it wasn't long ago that I was at GCSE student myself and so I remember how frustrating it could be when a topic just wasn't clicking. I'd love to be able to help you feel more confident in your knowledge and ability, and help you build a love for the topics you're learning!
After achieving 3 A*s at A-Level, I was going to study medicine at Cambridge University. However, after serious deliberation, I decided to pursue my passion in acting and performing arts, and so am currently studying a BA in Professional Acting at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
