I am a highly experienced and enthusiastic tutor to students up to 18 years of age with a Masters in Education and responsibility for tutoring and assessing newly qualified teachers. I have taught in schools as a senior leader for over 20 years and have been an examiner for the Edexcel and AQA exam boards for over 15 years. I pride myself in delivering personalised learning programmes to all of my students and ensure that all work completed is awarded with the highest level of written and verbal feedback. My lessons are always well resourced and are matched to the student's abilities and interests to make them challenging, engaging and enjoyable. I am very professional but also have an excellent rapport with my students. I tailor lessons to each individual and deliver them in a warm, encouraging and friendly manner whilst maintaining the highest expectations of all my tutees.

I have worked in education for over 20 years, teaching in secondary, specialist and primary schools. I've been a SENCO on a mainstream secondary school. I offer face to face 1 to 1 tuition at finest feet in Shifnal and at Stafford Park 4 in Telford. I also offer educational assessments and screeners (NOT diagnostic).
I am a Maths teacher with 20 years experience of tutoring. I have also taught Maths in schools in Sheffield and Oxford. I have tutored at pre GCSE to A-Level standard. I believe success in Mathematics comes from hard work and personal motivation.
I am happy to tutor all students of Mathematics from 10 or 11 years to A-level and including adult education.
Quite often my time in Mathematics tuition has been taken up by A-level students who were in way over thier heads due to the jump in the difficulty of the subject from GCSE to A-level, even the best GCSE students can struggle at A-level. I would always advise students to spend some of the summer run up period to starting A-level studying as much of the early A-level work as possible. Unless the student is particularly gifted in math, then success in A-level or GCSE will be dependent on a great deal of hard work and practice on the students behalf.

I was a tutor at Wiltshire College for 14 years, then taught Mathematics and Science in the field of Military Science at MOD for another 14 years to 2012. I can teach Maths and Chemistry from KS2 to A level. I have been teaching since 1989. I have retired few years back from full time teaching.
After graduating with an honours degree in Mathematics, Zahra entered the hedge fund world where she studied for CIMA and CFA qualifications. During that time she also taught on a voluntary basis, before deciding to pursue teaching full time. I always take a student-centered approach to teaching by asking students to bring their notes and talk me through the topics they feel are most difficult. My aim as your tutor would be to identify your strengths and weaknesses and build upon these appropriately. I would incorporate past paper questions very early in the curriculum to assess how well a child can apply their knowledge to answering exam questions. This will ensure that by the time the exams are sat the student will be fully prepared.
