I am a highly experienced and enthusiastic tutor to students up to 18 years of age with a Masters in Education and responsibility for tutoring and assessing newly qualified teachers. I have taught in schools as a senior leader for over 20 years and have been an examiner for the Edexcel and AQA exam boards for over 15 years. I pride myself in delivering personalised learning programmes to all of my students and ensure that all work completed is awarded with the highest level of written and verbal feedback. My lessons are always well resourced and are matched to the student's abilities and interests to make them challenging, engaging and enjoyable. After graduating with an honours degree in Mathematics, Zahra entered the hedge fund world where she studied for CIMA and CFA qualifications. During that time she also taught on a voluntary basis, before deciding to pursue teaching full time. She is a supportive and friendly teacher, who has taught GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics for over 10 years.
As well as teaching maths, Zahra is also responsible for the delivery of the Medical Programme designed for students applying for medicine, dentistry or veterinary science and specialises in training students for the UKCAT and BMAT exams.

I am a graduate who has finished studying Maths with Statistics at Royal Holloway University and I have good maths and science teaching skills. I know what techniques are needed for students to thrive and to have a good learning environment. Along with that, I know what techniques are needed to answer exam questions, so that they can do really well, and for them to find their true potential, but most importantly, for students to have a positive and enthusiastic approach to learning. In terms of teaching, I can teach maths, biology and chemistry at KS3, GCSE and A levels. I teach physics at GCSE and at KS3 level. Hello! I'm Daisy and I'm a postgraduate student at King's College London and tutor up to A-level. I have a BSc in mathematics from the University of Nottingham.
I've been tutoring for 5 years including a year full time. I've delivered over 2000 hours of online lessons and many face-to-face.
In my lessons I focus on clear explanations and aim to make maths more approachable, especially to those who have struggled or felt less confident in school.

Lesson structure varies but we will always have a recap of related topics that we may be building on the lesson, examples and explanation as needed and a focus on practice questions. If you are preparing for an exam we will also look at exam technique. I would usually recommend that we focus on one topic at a time and take time to really get the hang of it, rather than rush through lots of content that is difficult to retain.
I always check my lesson content against the national curriculum and/or relevant exam syllabus.
