I am a final year student of Masters Degree in Chemistry at the University of East Anglia.
I am about to move onto doing my Post-Graduate Research Project for 3 years in using metals to understand more about DNAs different structures, which has applications in medical diagnosis and drug improvement for things like cancer.
I love chemistry and science because it's the reason why we have such amazing medical treatment, developments in the understanding of the planet and the universe around us, improving every day life for normal people, and the endless opportunities open to us! It is also a lot of fun to do experiments in the laboratory!
I can show you how, even though science may seem hard, it can be fun and much easier to understand if you use different techniques and methods to learning. I will show you how to use different techniques for exam papers, exam stress and anxiety, revision, scheduling, time management, and mainly how to enjoy your learning!

FCL has four centres in Norfolk. We have 200+ children enrolled. Many do both maths and English. Ages range from 4 to 16, and abilities from gifted to struggling. Most are average children who can "do better".
We open at one centre or another after school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and on Saturday mornings. There is no fixed arrival time, and students usually drop in once a week (some come twice a week, others as little as once a month).
Parents include teachers and educational psychologists. We have local children who have been with us for years (two current children have passed the 10-year mark).

I have been tutoring for secondary school pupils at all levels of maths for four and half years. All my lessons have been online and one to one. I encourage revision while giving and marking homework between lessons.
After a successful 23 years of teaching practice, I now dedicate myself to providing high-quality, personalised online tutoring. I have successfully worked as a class teacher in a diverse range of settings, from inner-city London schools to an outstanding public school in Norwich.
I have taught primary maths and English at every primary age, and have particular expertise working with upper key stage 2 children. I started tutoring professionally during the first COVID lockdown in England, since then I have taught groups of 30, but mostly 1-on-1 sessions, ranging from KS2 SATS preparation all the way up to A Level Further Maths with a student aiming to apply to Cambridge Univeristy for Mathematics.
I love seeing that moment of realisation, that Eureka moment, when the topic just clicks for the student. Seeing the progress pupils make during their sessions, as well as over time is just an amazing feeling.
