I was a tutor at Wiltshire College for 14 years, then taught Mathematics and Science in the field of Military Science at MOD for another 14 years to 2012. This has given me a superb appreciation of the practical applications of my subjects in many situations. At St Aldates College, Oxford, I taught A Level Maths and Physics for 6 years at an international Independent school.
At Wiltshire College, I was responsible for setting up a Mathematics Study Centre. I have a vast experience of one-to-one tuition and the negotiation of learning programs with indiviual students.

I'm Chiara, I'm 23 years old and I aspire to become a Primary school teacher in England. I'm currently studying for my PGCE in Primary education at the University of the West of England.

I'm a big reader, one of my favorite ways to bond with children is reading to them and entertain conversations about books and their fictional worlds.

I have been volunteering as a Scout leader for four years now, working with children aged 8 to 11. During this time I, along with the rest of my staff, set educational goals to focus on throughout the year, planned activities and attended training courses to improve our skills. I have gained high grades in GCSE and high predicted grades in A level. For GCSE, I got 8 for English Media and 8 for English Language both heavily involved creative writing. I've also gained a 7 in Art, 9 in biology, chemistry, physics, Maths and business. In A level I finished the Maths, Psychology and Art courses. Having gained three As in all three subjects for my predicted grade and achieved a high score for my Art projects, which involved a lot of filmmaking, as it was my main medium. As well as filmmaking I had to do a lot of script writings which allows me to further develop my creative skills.
