I am a first year Physics student at the University of Kent. I have always enjoyed teaching and academia, so much so that my dream in life is to become a theoretical physicist after graduation. As a result, one of my biggest passions in life is to contribute to young mind’s understanding of the universe through science and mathematics. I have outstanding organisation skills, which allow me to be flexible in my schedule, and use my time as effectively as possible. Moreover, I love meeting new people which would make an excellent teacher, as I am able to connect with people comfortably.
I am fluent in English and Persian, with conversational skills in Russian and Arabic. At school, I set up a maths club for ages 5 to 6 and have participated in many science and debating competition, which includes a first place at a science fair for building holograms. I have also enjoyed competing in UKMT and Kangaroo challenges, as well as taking Open University courses to further educate myself on various topics.

I have engaged an extensive volunteering and work experience, where I honed my communication skills with young people. This has enabled me to learn how to establish strong connections with students, making it easier for students to ask questions and discuss their weaknesses openly. Academically, I have achieved six grade 9s and 3 grade 8s and a 6 at GCSE and A*AAA at A-levels, providing we with a deep understanding of how to effectively tackle challenging questions.
I have a keen ability to quickly identify students strengths and weaknesses, allowing me to tailor my approach to their individual learning styles. Drawing on my experience, I provide strategic guidance on tackling challenging questions. My background includes tutoring GCSE maths and sciences at the tutoring centre, where I have learned to work with diverse individuals. Additionally, I assigned targeted homework to reinforce the material coverage during lessons, ensuring a comprehensive understanding and effective revision.

Currently studying in my 3rd year at university pursuing an International Business degree, holding vast amounts of mathematic skills, and experience. Grades of a 7 at GSCE level and a C at A-level, I have a great passion for numeracy.
Mathematics was always a subject I enjoyed at school, whereby I could not only break down the question and effectively tackle problem solving, but i could also explain why to my fellow colleagues, showing an understadning of a wide variety of laws within mathematics such as algebraic rules.
Maths can be a diffuclt subject, and often a demoralsing one, but I have great passion to inspire young students to build on their confidence so maths becomes second nature! i would describe myself as a joyful character to be around who holds psychological techniques to motivate others, and I hope to help many students in achieveing the best out of theirselves!

I am an experienced fully qualified primary and secondary (grammar) school teacher specialising in the eleven plus (GL, CEM, independent schools) as well as the Kent and Medway tests, and science up to KS3. If you are interested in tuition from September 2023, please do get in contact soon as places are limited and do get filled up quickly. One-off initial lessons are very welcome. I work hard to get to know every child as an individual and to develop an understanding of what makes them feel happy and secure in their learning.
