I am an experienced STEM student who achieved 9999 in my maths & triple science GCSEs at a selective school. I have worked as a tutor for 7+ months allowing me to build teaching skills and want to aid students in unlocking their full potential.
I am a fully qualified secondary school teacher specialising in Science and Maths. I have extensive teaching and tutoring experience, in schools and online, in both mainstream teaching and special educational needs teaching. I have successfully taught and tutored pupils for 11 plus and 13 plus entrance exams, as well as for GCSE's in both Maths and Sciences, and for A level Biology and Chemistry.
I have always had alot of success tutoring science and maths online, with all pupils gaining the grades they wanted, and in most cases even higher grades.
I have also 12 years GCSE Science examiner marking experience, which allows me to explain to pupils what examiners are looking for within exam question answers.
I use a variety of course materials, workbooks and textbooks which are matched to the current relevant syllabus that the pupil is studying at their school. In addition I adapt my teaching methods to support the pupils learning needs and help to identify areas of study in which they need help to improve. I also look at revision methods and planning revision timetables with pupils to help them find the option which works best for their learning needs.

For the last 10 years, I have been working as a primary school teacher at an outstanding school.
I have over 15 years experience and have worked within many schools, two of which were long-term.
Over the years, my teaching career has allowed me to experience many different and difficult situations. These in turn have made me a more confident, organised, resourceful and experienced (in many years groups) teacher.
My current role is a Year 2 class teacher, however I have taught children from Nursery up to Year 6 as a cover teacher too.
I took part in the Government led school tutoring program, where I tutored 3 children from Year 2 in Writing. This has deepened my experience further, especially when assisting children to achieve the best they can.
I have carried out and planned for many 1:1 or group interventions in Maths and English to assist with our school's Covid catch-up program.
I want to build a good rapport with my pupils, a relationship that is fun, respectful and honest.
It's all about adapting the learning to the pupil and making them feel that they are in control of their learning too. Having a good sense of humour always helps too!

I am a father to two girls and work for National Express as a Part Qualified Financial Accountant. I have a first class degree in Mathematics and got a grade A in Mathematics and Further Mathematics in College.
After graduating I did a year of tutoring GCSE, A Level and Degree level Mathematics. I was a teaching assistant for half a year before I went into the world of finance. A recent student of mine which I tutored attained A* in GCSE Maths and another I taught also attained Level 9 in the same subject. I am also currently tutoring a 6 year old girl who initially struggled with the subject but is now doing really well.
