My approach to tutoring is tailored to the individual needs of each student. I understand that every student has a unique learning style and pace, and I work to create a supportive and encouraging environment that fosters growth and development. I am patient, empathetic, and dedicated to helping students overcome challenges and build confidence in their abilities. With extensive experience in tutoring for SATS, GCSE, A-Level and entrance exams such as 7+, 11+, and 13+, I have a deep understanding of the skills and knowledge required for success in these exams. I am skilled at identifying areas of weakness and developing strategies to overcome them, and I work closely with students and their families to create a personalised plan for success. Whether students need help with specific subjects or are looking for more general support and guidance, I am here to help. My goal as a tutor is to empower students to reach their full potential, both academically and personally. Registered tutor for biology, chemistry, physics, English language, and English literature at all levels up to A-Level, offering support with personal statements, essay/academic writing, and primary maths, SATS and all primary subjects. I am passionate about helping students achieve their full potential. I firmly believe that every student has the ability to succeed, and I am committed to providing the support and guidance needed to make this a reality. I have over 4 years of tutoring experience registered with MyTutor and Go Student. I have over forty years' experience of private tuition to students aged 2 to adult. I have taught maths and English to all ages, including preparing students for entrance exams. I also teach science up to KS3. I have worked with those for whom English is not their first language, to help them improve their skills. I also have extensive experience of working with students with various kinds of special educational need such as autism, ADHD, delayed development, etc.
I take pride in creating a programme of work which addresses the needs of each individual and helps them to build their confidence as well as competence.
I usually work in my home but can also offer online sessions. As I am moving to a new area, I am currently only taking online students. This will change once I move.

Studying both the English Language, Literature and Drama at A-Level has helped me gain critical analysis, research, and essay-writing skills. Studying Drama has had a huge impact on my life. For our devised performance, we decided to concentrate on women and how they are degraded and disrespected. Our piece was dedicated to women killed due to male violence. Drama has given me the skills for teaching as it has taught me how to deal well with ever-changing circumstances, teamwork, and keep myself and others motivated. Not everything always goes according to plan; therefore, being able to adapt to different situations is highly useful. I believe that keeping motivated is vital in education; when someone does not have any motivation, it can take a toll on others around them, too. I have a positive personality that can captivate individuals effectively while maintaining a professional manner. I was a part of the RAFAC for 4 years, encouraging me to strive for perfection. During these years, I completed several coa singer and leader, devising myurses, including leadership, health and safety, first aid, cyber and radio and DofE; these have all helped me to learn valuable life skills such as teamwork, mental agility, and the importance of being a respectful, upstanding member of the community.
I have taught Maths successfully for 39 years in an Outstanding School, upto GCSE. I offer one to one online tuition, always focussing on improving your confidence in Maths, and developing your Problem solving skills in line with the New style GCSE. I offer catch up lessons for students in Years 7 to 11, as well as continued support right up to their GCSE. I have workrd for 20 years as a Mathematics teacher in a number of schools in Zimbabwe, South Africa and currently in the UK. I have taught learners from different ethnic, racial, religious and social backgrounds. In those years I have also conducted one on one lessons with a select number of learners to try to get them to attain the required standards of whatever grade they might be in.
