My last post as a Learning Support Teacher involved working with children with an identified Special Need eg: Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalcula and/or Behavioural Problems. Also EAL children as I am also a qualified TEFL teacher.
I love helping children to learn and to begin to understand and master concepts that have previously challenged them.
I am patient and always allow the child to learn at their pace to ensure they have mastered each stage fully.
I teach in a fun way to engage those children who may find learning more challenging and to ensure progress.
I aim to foster a desire to learn, to problem solve, to question and to succeed.

I trained as a Primary teacher in 2018, when I did my PGCE at the University of Brighton. Before that, I was a successful marketer and a Psychology graduate. But, I wanted to make a difference in children's lives, so I made the decision to switch careers and it is the best decision I have made.
My ability to form a relationship with learners, assess their needs and provide fun, and exciting learning comes from my robust experience across a range of robust primary settings. I can teach children with SEND and other additional needs.
I have a great track record of instilling progress and a love of learning in kids. I believe learning should be fun, carefully structured and have just the right balance of teacher support and pupil independence. I praise, reward and celebrate my learners achievements and I want them to feel the same.

Through my private tutoring I have built up communication with parents and worked together to identify areas for development. Day to day life as a teacher means I have a wealth of experience and resources to be able to cater for many different needs. I have worked with a whole range of ability groups, including gifted and talented writers, and autistic children needing more support.
I am a qualified teacher. I have a range of experiences in school such as state junior and infant schools, private infant and junior schools, special educational needs schools, senior schools, forest schools and Montessori schools. I have 4 years experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as an LSA where I was also fortunate to cover classes across Key Stage 1 and sometimes Key Stage 2. I completed teaching placements in year R, 2 and 4 on my teaching placements whilst doing my degree and I am currently a year 1 teacher. I have an in depth understanding of how to support my pupils on a hollistic level to their needs and interests. My mutual respect between myself and the pupil ensures enjoyment in learning and my further relationship with parents further enables me to gain an in depth understanding of the child to meet their educational and personal needs.
I want to give you the most effective learning experience possible, so prior to the session telling me the class materials you're using will be very useful so I can do my due diligence before the session. This is so I can give you the most concise and understandable explanation of how to do the problems and understand the material.
Since my both of my daughters were diagnosed with dyslexia, I became aware of the challenges they faced every day in the classroom. This in its self spurred me on to become the year 6 teacher I am today. One who will never give up trying to find new and exciting ways to help children learn. Mainly, my forte it's SATs prep, which I've been doing for 7 years helping children not only pass their exams, but instilling confidence within to flourish for the rest of their educational careers. I also have a specialism in supporting the progress of children who have particular needs. Such experience I feel enables me to teach in a very diverse way, resulting in a bespoke tutoring approach that will inevitably enrich your child's educational career.
