I am currently a Medical student at Keele and a graduate from the University of Salford, achieving a 1st in my degree in Human Biology and Infectious Disease. Achieving the highest mark within my university. I was responsible for a programme known as GEMMS which is for supporting students in their medicine/dentistry applications, assisting them in interview technique and for the entrance exams.
I have mentored and tutored for 5+ years, helping students to achieve grade 9 in maths. I currently tutor Mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry for A-levels and below.
I am a fun person who particular loves his sports. Seeing the improvement and progress a child can make in a short amount of time is always the best feeling and I strive to help you achieve your goals and beyond. Sometimes having that 1 to 1 session can make all the difference in clearing up any worries about a topic.
I begin my classes by asking the student what they want to learn or discuss during the session. If they have a doubt in a concept, I will ask them to explain the same concept to me in their own words and correct them wherever necessary. I will provide some good methods to study or approach that topic. I will conclude the lesson by asking them if there is anything they would like to discuss in our next session so that I could prepare some questions in advance. I will also regularly be assessing your improvement through the use of practice papers to get an idea of where the student is at and how they can further improve. I strive to get the best out of my students.
My approach to tutoring is tailored to the individual needs of each student. I understand that every student has a unique learning style and pace, and I work to create a supportive and encouraging environment that fosters growth and development. I am patient, empathetic, and dedicated to helping students overcome challenges and build confidence in their abilities. With extensive experience in tutoring for SATS, GCSE, A-Level and entrance exams such as 7+, 11+, and 13+, I have a deep understanding of the skills and knowledge required for success in these exams. I am skilled at identifying areas of weakness and developing strategies to overcome them, and I work closely with students and their families to create a personalised plan for success. I am a first year law student currently studying at Sheffield university. Having achieved A*-B GCSE's and A*AB at A-Level, A* in Geography, I am very hardworking and very detail accumented which I will therefore bring to the lessons creating lesson plans and case studies in preparation. As well, I will pre-prepare exam questions to ensure the maximum amount of information is retained from the hour.
