I have won three awards for excellence and a superb tutor. In addition, I have successfully employed various teaching approach/ strategy when teaching and found that this led to many positive student outcomes, such as students getting A grades in A level Maths and Further Maths. I have experience in teaching KS2,11+, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, IB and A Level maths online and face-to-face. I have worked as an examiner with various exam boards such as: Edexcel and AQA. I have worked as an examination officer and I entered students for WJEC, OCR, AQA, Edexcel and City and Guilds exams using SIMS.
I encourage learning by using different manipulatives, hands-on activities and technology. I utilise weekly tests to track students progress, locate areas of weakness and prepare students for final exams.
Being a versatile individual, I have had the opportunity to teach students who functioned below-, on- and above target grade. I have been very successful at accommodating diverse students needs by facilitating all styles of learners, offering individualised and integrating effective materials.

I always take a student-centered approach to teaching by asking students to bring their notes and talk me through the topics they feel are most difficult. My aim as your tutor would be to identify your strengths and weaknesses and build upon these appropriately. I would incorporate past paper questions very early in the curriculum to assess how well a child can apply their knowledge to answering exam questions. This will ensure that by the time the exams are sat the student will be fully prepared.

MIT 2020 graduate in mechanical engineering, currently a PhD student in Biomechanics engineering at the University of Oxford. 2015 IB graduate with a 45/45 grade. I graduated from Amman Academy High School in 2015. I took the International Baccalaureate Diploma and achieved the full score of (45/45) (Four Higher Level subjects). I am currently taking part in a support club for younger children that have trouble reading. I believe it is extremely important to help others in need and transfer knowledge to those younger than me. Seeing the difference and improvement I can make in someone’s life is the most rewarding feeling I can think of. The program takes place every week, and the progress which my students make is something I am very proud of.
I have taken it upon myself to talk to them about what they found so off putting about reading, pick an engaging book, find out about their interests etc., to make sure that it doesn't feel like a burden but rather a fun and valuable experience. This helped me create a friendly environment and I was able to see a big improvement in both their reading skill and their attitude towards it. I believe that knowing when or how to approach an issue, as well as talking about things that might present an obstacle is of essence to success of any kind. Communication, however, matters not just for approaching any existing issues, but also letting a student know that you are a friendly face that they can speak to and feel comfortable around.
I have been helping neurodivergent students younger than myself with their maths studies, for one hour every week, for over a year. As a mentor I have learned the necessity of being able to put yourself into someone else's position and consider things from their point of view. Understanding how someone else is feeling and being patient with them, helping them overcome an issue is the most important and sometimes challenging part of mentoring.
In the past year I have also individually done tutoring sessions for GCSE higher maths online, and as I have achieved a 9 in my maths GCSE, I was happy to pass on the knowledge.
