I am currently working as a pharmacist, qualified 4 years ago. I have also been tutoring maths to students sitting their SATs and GCSEs for the last 8 years. I have previously also tutored students sitting their 11plus exam.
I have been teaching at Secondary level for more than 25 years including being head of department. I teach A level Maths and Further Maths where I specialise in mechanics and decision Maths. I am a current examiner at both GCSE and A level Maths. I like students to enjoy my sessions, have a laugh and feel able to ask when they need help. I use the online platform Bramble. I also offer small groups of up to 4 students at £20.

Hi, I'm Maanya and I am a Biomedical Science student at Lancaster University. I was tutored when I was younger and I would love to help you the way I was helped because it really participated a lot in my academic growth as a child and helping people is something I love to do in my free time or whenever. I have tutored children during lockdown online and in person after lockdown in maths english and even science and I am even a Grade 3 internationally certified yoga teacher and helped children and adults of all ages all around the world through yoga by teaching both the physical and the theory side of it. Hi, I`m Joseph. I am a second year maths student at the University of Sheffield. I achieved A*A*A in my A-levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics. I have two years of experience tutoring GCSE and A level maths and physics to those in my local community with great success, and would now like to tutor online to reach more people. My tutoring style is to work up from first principles using common sense and logic to unlock the answers students don`t understand. I get a lot of fulfilment from tutoring, and seeing students flourish into strong, capable mathematicians in a short time is a feeling hard to beat. I`m not all boring theory though. I aim to spend at least half of the lesson on practice questions, a vital section where good habits are praised and poor ones are fixed. Most importantly, having recently been a model student myself, I am very familiar and in tune with the exam boards and the marking schemes. This knowledge alone is paramount, since I know the most important topics which always come up, and how to pick up marks on the most difficult questions even if you cannot answer the full thing. Having mainly taught small in-person groups before, I know I can provide a great service online in a one-to-one setting. I am enhanced DBS checked.
