“I engaged Neil’s services after my daughter in year 11 had done some mocks. Maths was the areas she struggled with the most and didn’t feel confident. She’s in set 2 and doing the higher paper. She felt she was lagging her classmates. Her teachers have predicted her a level 5 but said she may just scrape the grade; Neil came as a recommendation, and it was the best thing we ever did. He is friendly, kind and patient. In just 8 weeks, her confidence has soared, she now understands things that she has previously struggled with. At the end of February, she did a second set of mocks. I am friendly, approachable and enjoy making learning meaningful for pupils. My lessons begin with starting activities to recap the previous learning, identify any misconceptions. Moving onto the main part of the lesson I plan activities promoting fluency in the skill then application to a real-life situation or worded exam-style question.
