I have over 12 years of teaching experience in waldorf schools in Germany and Switzerland as well as a private teacher for students in USA, UK, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Bulgaria.

These students have been very happy to work with me because they are being prepared to reach their highest potential, and this is somewhat evident from the fact that they typically acquire the highest marks in their class / cohort. Of the hundreds of students that I have tutored / coached over the past 15 years, almost all acquired the best possible grade and none has ever got a grade lower than a B, despite the spread in the aptitudes and circumstances of incoming students. We have a dedicated covid secure classroom. We have an extremely comprehensive equipment store to cover all the experiments for GCSE and A level Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). This enables the students to take part in experiments which enhances their learning.
Since the lockdown, our response was to transition, virtually overnight, our teaching online. The tutor’s hands became the student’s hands and the cameras their eyes, the microphone and speakers became their voice and ears. With the power of a broadcast switcher, the student did not have one view but many, depending on what was needed. In addition, we decided to live stream tutorials on YouTube going through GCSE and A level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, topic by topic, week by week utilising all our equipment for experiments. This was to develop a resource for all not just our own students.

My priority is tailoring each of my lessons according to individual students, which is a key aspect of one-to-one tutoring. I also use questions and homework to check understanding continually. I usually focus on exam-style or past paper questions in order to check, practice and perfect the student`s understanding and technique.
I always take a student-centered approach to teaching by asking students to bring their notes and talk me through the topics they feel are most difficult. My aim as your tutor would be to identify your strengths and weaknesses and build upon these appropriately. I would incorporate past paper questions very early in the curriculum to assess how well a child can apply their knowledge to answering exam questions. This will ensure that by the time the exams are sat the student will be fully prepared.
I prepare materials which allow them to reinforce their understanding to learn a difficult subject. I gradually strengthen their knowledge and bring them to a higher level.

I am a qualified teacher of Mathematics with wide experience teaching from years 5 to 13. I taught for five years at an all girls` secondary school in Bath before moving to an extremely high achieving boys`school close to my new home in Northwood.
I had spent the years prior teaching in mixed gender secondary schools in Bristol and Trowbridge as well as a middle school in Dorset.
I have seven years of experience helping young people achieve their goals in mathematics in a tutor capacity.
I have created a wealth of resources in recent years with the aim of diagnosing and curing misconceptions in topic specific areas within the curriculum for key stage 3, GCSE, IGCSE, FSMQ and A-level. These have proven invaluable in preparing students for their state examinations.
