I am an award-winning and highly experienced "super" tutor and academic coach with over 15 years of tutoring, teaching and coaching experience, during which period I have made multiple students become university toppers and world prize winners. As for my own qualifications, I have a First Class Honours degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Doctorate in Engineering (Expertise: High-fidelity numerical simulations). As an undergraduate student at university, I was ranked number 1 with a cumulative average of 84%, for which I was honoured as the `Top Engineering Graduate`. I passed my A-levels (examining board: Edexcel) with straight A grades (note: there were no A* grades at the time), and my Mathematics mark in particular was ranked among the top in the world. I always take a student-centered approach to teaching by asking students to bring their notes and talk me through the topics they feel are most difficult. We have a dedicated covid secure classroom. We have an extremely comprehensive equipment store to cover all the experiments for GCSE and A level Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). This enables the students to take part in experiments which enhances their learning.
Since the lockdown, our response was to transition, virtually overnight, our teaching online. The tutor’s hands became the student’s hands and the cameras their eyes, the microphone and speakers became their voice and ears. With the power of a broadcast switcher, the student did not have one view but many, depending on what was needed. In addition, we decided to live stream tutorials on YouTube going through GCSE and A level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, topic by topic, week by week utilising all our equipment for experiments. This was to develop a resource for all not just our own students.

Now as an experienced Maths teacher and tutor having all qualifications and degrees in Mathematics, I work to bring the best out of my students and get satisfaction out of their progression. I am patient and I believe you can be better in Maths with perseverance, practice and a tutor who knows how to boost student's confidence.
After successfully finishing my PGCE course in St Mary's University Twickenham, I was teaching Mathematics in secondary grammar school for 4 years. During that time I have become aware of students' needs for gaining higher level as making Maths enjoyable and students responsible learners.
I also have five years tutoring experience on one-to-one basis where I have been helping students to cope with Maths, to gain more confidence, to achieve higher level in school and enhance their mathematical abilities. I focus on deep understanding of the topics through explanation in the best individual way chosen for each of the tutees.
During my lessons I introduce the new material in a simple way. This is followed by working on instructive reinforcing exercises to enhance and deepen understanding and build confidence in the new knowledge. I set focused homework at the end of each lesson and discuss marked homework at the start of the next one using it to emphasis on the areas that require improvement and also for keeping a track of students' progress.

I will also teach specific GCSE Maths topics such as algebra, simultaneous equations, trig, geometry too up to Year 11 if required.
I enjoy teaching and my style is that of a supportive approach. I ensure that learning takes place in a relaxed but studious situation. I am able to work at home or in the pupil's home and can travel up to about 4 miles.
