Kids' activities Preschool, Nursery School, Montessori School
Brightstart provides a safe, prepared and ordered environment in which children are free to learn naturally from their surroundings. We cater for children between 2 years old and school age. We have been established in North Walsham since 1996. Our second Nursery opened in the refurbished former Scottow School, The Fairstead, Scottow in September 2008.
Our North Walsham Nursery moved from the Congregational Church Hall in Cromer Road to brand new, purpose built facilities at The Atrium, Spenser Avenue in January 2012.
We are Ofsted registered. Both Nurseries received very positive Ofsted reports at their most recent inspections in November 2014.
All children receive County Council funding from the start of the term after their third birthday. This funding covers 15 hours per week. In addition, some two year old children are entitled to County Council funding. Any additional hours for funded children and sessions for children who do not receive funding are invoiced each half term. Details of our fees are available on request.

Our approach is to offer flexible childcare, which includes parents with shifts.
We have a full time teacher as well as highly qualified staff. They will monitor your child’s progress using the online “Tapestry” Learning Journey system for you to follow and interact with.
We also offer “home cooked” meals and spacious premises for your children to enjoy throughout their time with us.
We can be found just off the A143 between Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds, perfect for local villages and for commuters.
You are very welcome to contact us to come and look around!
We understand that having a solid foundation in the earliest years can lead to success, both emotionally and academically for the rest of their lives.

Kids' activities Tutor, Teacher, Instructor
After teacher training I spent a year on supply working at various schools on short and long term placements in a variety of subjects. During one placement at a pupil referral unit I was offered a full time position and worked here for 1 year with students with behavioural difficulties and special needs. I then moved to Frederick Gough school in scunthorpe again to fill a position as a teacher of ICT I am now in my 9th year of teaching. After 2 years I secured a position as a head of year and have worked with all age groups from 7 to 11 in this time providing pastoral care and coordinating the learning over over 270 students. I Have just completed my NPQSL (National professional qualification for senior leaders) and hope to make the step to assistant head in the very near future. My relationship and rapport with all students is excellent and I am to help them achieve their best, whatever that may be.
