I am an experienced and qualified Computer Science teacher with a strong background in the field and a passion for education. With QTS status and currently completing a Master's degree in Computer Forensics, I have experience teaching A Level Computer Science, and proficiency in coding languages such as Python and Visual Basic. To motivate my students I encourage and implement effective assessment procedures and strategies, involve parents, guardians and the students in the assessment process, and practice a variety of Assessment for Learning (AFL) techniques (Online quizzes, flashcards and interactive sites). I have also successfully launched and manage coding clubs and mentorship programs to promote critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership skills among students. Overall, I think I am well-equipped to make a positive impact on a student’s Computer Science education journey, whether you are young or older young(like me) and enjoy learning, as I am experienced in mentoring trainee teachers to their teaching of Computer Science practices with exciting tried and tested pedagogical and relevant activity resources.

Hi, I am Jiei! :)
I'm a native Japanese speaker and Calligraphy tutor who is originally from Tokyo, but currently live in Bristol to study Animation at UWE Bristol.
I have two students who I teach in person in Bristol and one online at the moment.
I started tutoring since I went to Australia so now I have nearly 2 years of experience.
My classes cover all aspects, writing, reading, listening and of course speaking.
I'm good at communicating, setting suitable goals for each student and aim to reach goals with every lesson.
Hope to hear from you and can help your Japanese!
I have experienced teaching people who have different backgrounds, levels, and age at cram school in Japan.
If you would like to learn not only Japanese as a language but also calligraphy or Japanese culture, it is a perfect opportunity to do that!
I am very patient, and love to teach you!
I can speak English, Japanese, and French (working on at the moment) so everyone from beginner to advance is very welcomed!
Please feel free to contact me:)
See you in the classes!

Hi I'm Katie! I have recently finished my Bachelor's Degree of French and English literature at Cardiff University and I'm expected to achieve a First or a high 2:1. I am eager to help those who have missed out on their education during these unprecedented times. Due to the current climate, I will only be able to offer online lessons via Skype, Zoom etc. Hopefully, once these restrictions are eased I will be available for face-to-face tutoring. Last year, I moved abroad by myself to Toulouse and Paris which helped me to gain a great understanding of the French culture and language. I studied at a French university and also worked as a teaching assistant for French teenagers at a secondary school for 6 months. I was also babysitting two French girls aged 9-11 helping them with their English and French homework I've volunteered in a primary school for 3 months which was unfortunately cut short due to the pandemic. So I have plenty of experience working with all sorts of age groups! I am available every day but Saturday, but I can make exceptions if needs be. Please feel free to message me if you have any more questions or would like to book an appointment :)

I have always enjoyed teaching which is why I have been doing it for ten years, it is indeed my passion to teach and help students understand difficult concepts. I always encourage students to ask questions and be inquisitive as that helps students to be more engaged and do well. I beleieve I am friendly and approachable and will encourage students to ask even basic questions if it helps them to understand the subject better.

I am 37 years of age and have more than 11 years of teaching experience. A dynamic, ambitious and hard-working teacher with experience in state and independent school systems across the age range from Reception to KS4. With 7 years’ experience as the Head of Mathematics in an Independent school (London) and 11+ years’ experience as a Mathematics Teacher with proven records of helping children progress, providing positive learning experiences, effective behaviour management systems, the highest standards of pastoral care and inspiring the Gifted and Talented and SEND pupils. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated negotiating and organising skills with a firm sense of responsibility and capacity to work hard under pressure.
I have more than 11 years experience of tutoring pupils of all ages. I enjoy tutoring and am considered to have a caring approach and I try to make sure that learning takes place in a relaxed but studious situation. When tutoring, I find it very important to allow the student to feel confident in their work using lots of praise. It is important that the student feels they can get something wrong, so long as they try. This helps me to find out any misconceptions they might have, so I can re-teach any topics they may need refreshing. I ensure children are challenged age appropriately, and support learners to gain confidence when they are back in the classroom. I am able to work at home or in the pupil's home (happy to travel up to 5 miles from my home) and am currently available evenings and week-ends.

Head of Computer Science and Design Technology offering tuition in both subjects.
- Computer Science - all ages groups (KS2-KS5)
- Design Technology - KS4
Teaching for 16 years and head of department for over 12 years.
Won Teacher of the Year from Amazon Web Services for extra curricular app design competition.
My approach is student centred and based on individual needs. I use a variety of strategies to support the student grasp and then master the concepts of the qualification. The use of retrieval practice helps embed the knowledge into long term memory. Learning only takes places when there is a change in long term memory and the strategies I used aid later retention and identify the gaps in knowledge.

My name is Christine Borg. I grew up in a small island where my education led me to a Bachelor’s degree in General Medical Studies. However, the artistic fibre in me eventually took me to London to study Drama and in 2017, I graduated with a Master’s degree from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
I returned to my family and pursued my other life interests: dogs, target shooting, and SCUBA diving amongst other things. I had to earn a living besides trying to put into practice my Acting career. I managed to balance work and getting some experience in Theatre, TV, film, Radio voice overs and singing.
The best balance of work and satisfaction came through teaching but, after Summer 2019 my life brought me back to the UK, where I now live. I took the first good job that came along, solely to earn my living.
However, I want my work be worthwhile besides being my financial income. Satisfaction in my job is of the utmost importance to me, and I believe I can achieve this through teaching.
My qualifications allow me to teach English to students form 3-year-olds to adults, GCSE level Chemistry, Biology and Physics and Science to 8 to 16-year-old students.
As I wish to continue teaching Online, I use all my experience from my TEFL qualifications and Drama school days to improvise and make my lessons as interactive and as interesting as possible. In English classes, in particular, I can help the students with their pronunciation and conversation by giving them confidence in themselves. I try to apply a positive outlook in whatever I am teaching. Engaging with the student is the basis for learning.
